Hello!

My name is Zac and I'm new to vaping. I'v been doing it about 3 days now and I have to say it's wonderful. I was in a mall the other day with my wife and SHE pointed out the smoking everywhere booth so we went over and I ended up buying a gold pack (because I liked the black and the fact I can plug it into my computer).

Iv read alot of bad reviews of the SE brand but so far I havn't had any problems and last night I went out to a bar with my brother who brought some analogs along and I really didn't like smoking them, it was fantastic.

I'v been looking around some of the forums and seeing the problems with the FDA and what not - that's outrageous.

Anyway, I'm continuing looking around and learning about the new hotness that is vaping.

Oh, I'm in the USA, by the way, and it's really really rare around here (I'm the only person I know that even knows what vaping is...though I do live in the south...)

Cheers!

Welcome ZRB;
That Gold pack you bought is a model RN4081. You can get parts for it very inexpensively from other dealers. Keep researching the Forum for loads of tips & tricks. If you have any questions or problems, don't hesitate to ask.

The next thing you should do is look into juice. You can refill the old cartridges fro much less money. A few extra atomizers are a wise choice too, because they're a bit unpredictable.

There is more information on your specific model of e-cig at;
RN 4081 *Super Mini* - e-cigarette-forum.com • The place for electronic cigarette reviews, news and chat

Cheers;

That's interesting to know.

So, is "a 4081" the model number of the SE product or, say, a standard model number across different vendors, each with a particular style in their product line that has the same basic specifications?

SE just bought the RN4081's wholesale, and branded their name on them. It's a standard 4081.

Oh, well that explains that.. Thanks :)

Also, the guy who sold them to me said that each cartridge lasts about as long as a pack of cigarettes. While I didn't believe him I have found that each cartridge lasts about as long as 3 or 4 regular cigarettes. I was wondering if this is standard or if there is a technique to using an ecig. I'm sure there is a learning curve so I just wanted to make sure I'm doing it correctly so I don't waste them.

Thanks!

There is a learning curve, and technique is important, and will change slightly with different models.

But you're absolutely right. 1 cart = 1 pack is BS. And most of the dealers are still making that claim.

The good part is that you found this forum. Lots of good information here. And now that you know just what you have, you can get parts at a fraction of the cost that SE would charge you.

Now you have to start looking into juice. Refilling your own cartridges will save you a bundle, and after a while, you can learn to mix your own to save even more, and get the flavors you want.

After you get the hang of it, you may want to stick with what you have, or move on to other models. I have 5 different models now, and like them all. I'll never go back to the stinkie sticks.

Well thanks for all the advice. I'm really glad I found the site (and also that my wife pointed out the SE booth at the mall). I had seen the Blu brand online and got my interest up but hadn't bought one because I couldn't try it out.

I'm looking at digitalsmokeshop.com now for different supplies.

I read on here that it's a good idea to get a few extra atomizers so that's what I'm looking at now. The standard one is about 9$ so that's what I'm looking to get but is there any sort of...higher power one...? or is the standard one really all I need.

Thanks!
