I'm already a member :p

Nothing worse that being mislead by vendors. 100% vg should be 100% vg. Theres no accountability among juice vendors (like a fast food drive through you get screwed) if you get a nasty juice they say "taste is subjective" no matter if its your 10th order. There's no transparency either - are you mixing juice in a clean room? Testing nic levels? Mixing it in your tub? Or do you have a "clean room" or lab (hopefully not mixing in your labradors dish) ? Regularly clean and sterilize eqpt? Who's flavoring do you use? I know I have reactions to certain vendors flavorings. Yet not many tell you who they buy the base flavoring from because they claim its a secret recipe.
IMO it's time we the consumer say enough!! YOU are NOT doing us a favor making us juice. WE are the consumer and YOU work for US!! Show us pics of your mixing facility. Fully disclose ingredients. Even if your a mom and pop setup (god bless America everyone starts somewhere and I support you) but tell us what precautions your taking to ensure our safety and satisfaction. Even if its just "I sanitize a kitchen counter and mix there".

Ok rant over. Sorry for going on but 2 years ago me and several other friends of mine (in hindsight I'm sorry I sent them samples  ) developed upper respiratory infections from what we believe was contaminated juice - Because it was one particular juice from the same batch and we ALL had the same symptoms. It was during this illness I actually started smoking again :(

I have been thru most of them. Johnson creek is safe but blah. I use Nik at spring vapor and order Coffee cake. The only oops I had was he made was sending me 24mg instead of 12. I just began revising my VG vender list. DOUBLE checking for Pg in their flavorings. I will work on it But we just got back from the oncologist and my husband is no longer in remission. I may disappear again but I always check for pms

My daughter was having issues and became a vegetarian for a number of years - seems the antibiotics they feed livestock was causing havoc with her system as she has many antibiotic allergies. Now she is able to eat animal proteins but for the longest time it just overloaded her system. She also had a combo type allergy for a while.....she could eat chocolate, she could eat nuts, she could eat berries - but not within 24 hours of each other. It took a couple of years and we was able to reduce the time between those things and eventually she was able to combine again. Go figure......

I am PG sensitive, not allergic. It's known to exacerbate eczema...I need my juices to be vg heavy - but not exclusive.

You mentioned there was a drug you reacted to and I had a reaction to an anesthesia - which happened to be mentioned in an article on Pg allergies in Medscape. The article primarly discussed how hard it was for doctors to get information whether pg was included in medications or not because it's so commomly used, it's not listed - and due to the rarety of allergic reactions. But the article listed pg being related to paraben's which I do have a diagnosed sensitivy towards. My mouth and lips swell, blister and peel within a few minutes of vaping. I also can't inhale and another symptom I have is my throat closing shut. It doesn't hurt. I just can't swallow. But like I said I have so many allergies I ignore the intolerances and just focus on systemic ones - the ones that happen in minutes. I know from experience not to play games with those.

But like I said, I'm tracking down something else too. I've had anaphalatic reactions to poulty all of a sudden and that started before vaping. It would be nice if it was the same substance, but that may be wishful thinking. The testing isn't good with this stuff and so it's usually done through challenges.

I've sunk a lot into the hope of not smoking anymore. I just can't believe I'd have less reaction to ciggies than I do to vaping. I refuse to believe it actually.

From what I've briefly read, polycarbonates; pete, petg (BHA) might be along the same lines as far as affecting hormones. Doesn't sound like a big deal but that's what I tend to develop allergies to in meat products and animal hair. This is very preliminary but I'm getting rid of plastic tanks now too. One thing at a time. Allergies and EpiPens are a pain.

Thanks for your help. For some reason I can't imagine an allergist getting into this with me. I can bet on the response I'd get, "just quit" - or "do you want a script for chantix?" LOL! Sure, give me a heartattack instead. That'll cure my smoking.

Don't worry about hijacking; we all are guilty. Case in point: :D

I'm not worried about hijacking, so I have a question for those who might have some experience...:p

I think I've narrowed down what's triggering my reactions...I put away my Virgin Vapor Blackberry Vanilla Swirl for a couple weeks while I dealt with this intense face burning/pricking issue (see prior posts). It was the first offender, but not the only one. So I'm slowly introducing the other juices I have and yesterday I decided to break out the VV again. I feel the burning starting now....I even diluted it about 50/50 with more VG. So far, all my other juices except one have been good, and the one isn't any comparison to what I'm feeling with this Blackberry juice. I don't even have to vape it for more than a few vapes before I have to stop and switch to something else.

I'm ready to dump it down the sink it's so awful.

Can anyone throw any ideas my way? Already contacted VV and while friendly and supportive of my issue, they didn't offer me any answer as to what could be causing it, or what flavorings they use ("every juice is different").

Could it be that Some of our organic flavors come in an organic ethyl alcohol base.

I am beginning to wonder...that idea came up a couple of days ago, and got me thinking. I can use it on my skin no problems, but inside my body might not be good. One other likely offender was Halo's chocolate, and another was Coffee Supreme from Black Velvet. I think I detected a bit of alcohol twinge the last time I vaped the Halo (yesterday) but it's not as strong and the reaction wasn't as bad.

How would I know short of seeing a dr?

Isolate your juices with ethyl alcohol in them. Stay away from them for a week or two and see how you are feeling.

Do you know of any place I can find an ingredient list, or would you suggest I contact each vendor to find out what has it/what doesn't? Nothing is listed at Halo, BV or Aroma.

Yup. I would contact the venders and let them know you are having a reaction to the specific flavors

That's what I'm saying - DEMAND an answer. It's your health and as a vendor of a potentially harmful product their responsibility to disclose WHAT ARE WE VAPING! It's irresponsible vendors that will bring FDA regulations and reflect badly on the entire vaping community. :2c:

We should boycott all the venders that lack transparency! Some never respond. some respond with an attitude and some are very upfront. We are not looking for their magic recipe, we need to know what we are vaping.
