Hi FG! It's been such a busy couple days & hopefully calming down for the wknd & I can find time to chat with you all! Enjoy your night off!

Dale I'm so glad to hear things went ok for you today & you have found a dr willing to get to the root of the problem, sometimes that's half the battle- finding someone to really help & not just treat symptoms.

Kit, shop away girl!!!!

I have to share something that happened this eve with my baby.....

I started using sign language for simple words as I talk & communicate with the baby who will be 9 months old on Monday, just little things like eat drink milk no yes please thank you & tonight when we got home & settled in and I asked him if he wanted to eat while signing eat at the same time like I do every time & he signed eat back to me! It was amazing & I was so proud! This kid is catching on & using signs already, it's awesome!!!

Thanks for letting me share my proud mommy moment!

Jess! I'm an ASL signer:)
Out of curiousity, why are you teaching your little one to sign?
Bela sign's a little also, love her "bird" & "squirrel:wub:

I'm using 24mg and switching flavors frequently. I found that the tobacco flavors didn't help me smoke less, but the beverage, fruity, and candy flavors are helping me a lot. If I switch flavors more often, I get the urge to smoke less.

And I find the opposite works for me. Isn't it interesting how different we all are. We each have to find what works for us. I do love all the input and options. And some of the best support and advice anywhere.

Keep it up notorious. You are doing just fine.

You guys, [sarcasm]quitting smoking was SO easy, it only took me from November 2011 to July 2013[/sarcasm]!! Vaping is not the be all and end all, but it is a LOT better than not smoking at all.

Count the ones you did not smoke, celebrate every small success, and don't beat yourself up!! That's rule number 1 around here, isn't it?

I have been trying to quit smoking on and off for 40 years. There is nothing easy about it. Just because I have not picked up the cigarette and smoked it does not mean this is easy for me. It just looks like it. And the numbers look good. But it is not easy.

If it was easy I would be smoking whenever I want because I could just stop whenever I want. That does not work for me. I am too addicted to them. So I fight for every hour I do not smoke. Some hours are a lot easier than others. Then I have a bad one that makes up for the easy ones. But when I get through that one, I so far have a few easier ones. I want to bump that cycle up to days instead of hours.

    Sorry! That was just so funny:)

Isn't he tho'?!?

Hi, I'm back & I'm lazy so I'm pasteing this over from my first home page so......
Okay! Okay!
I'm not finished reading but started to feel like I should stop and let you know
I'm back home ... nothing was done except for an x-ray. Surgeon doesn't think the
teeth need removing. He say's I'm having "menophause" in the mouth
Stop taking any new med's started this year ... there are a few.
Does not think Vaping is an issue ... Switch from four Tylenol to 4 Motrin's every 8 hours with 2 Tylenol every 3 hours on top of that. Stop all previous med's & mouth washes given as they are probably causing more problems than they are helping.
(p.s. I'm crabby due to lack of food & beverage, fixing that right now & just took a pain pill)
Uuuuh ...... there's probably more. Oh yeah, come back in two weeks if nothing is better Although I hWowave to say he was very nice and get this ... did not charge me a dime
If things don't "start" to improve in two weeks then we will begin blood work for BMS and hormoral levels to see what to do next.

Wow! Dale, looks like you found a good oral surgeon. No charge! That is unheard of today. And what in the world is menopause of the mouth? That even sounds strange. But yeah for teeth! :D And food. And Dale.

Isn't it tho'?
Although DH & I are wondering if they forgot they took x-rays; doesn't matter, they'll send me a bill:D
I do seem to have a good caring dentist & oral surgeon ..... I'm pretty sure the OS expects me back tho' ......so do I.
Wouldn't it be amazing if it was just that simple???

Oh, Kittyn. TOO funny. And you rationalize just like I do. Make the man his cookies, and that is decidedly permission to purchase several other juices that the smell of the vape will be acceptable to DH. I mean, you ARE trying to make him happy, right?

What vendor is HLV. I can't figure it out at the moment. Glad you like the juice.

Yay for potential answers Dale! The fact that he evidently listened and has SOMETHING to try, for free too, is amazing. Alsoamazing that he's not trying to yank teeth out.

My little experiment yesterday trying to figure out precisely how much I smoke? Ha. Ha. Yeah, wayyyy to much and I don't wanna think about it. I've been vaping the HLV Freak Show, as it was pretty tasty out of the mail and I needed something smoother than what I had. It's pretty good, a little flat tasting but that I'm assuming has a lot to do with the whole 'fresh out of the mail' thing, as its been filling out pretty nicely over the past couple days.

Unfortunately I got banned from vaping it in the car. Evidently it makes my husband want sugar cookies and I'm now committed to making him either sugar cookies or oatmeal cookies sometime over the weekend. Whoops.

So, I'm back to digging to find something acceptable to both my palate and sore throat AND the males ability to avoid bakeries. I was specifically told to find something, ANYTHING, else vapable though, so would you consider that the OK to buy more juice this week? ;)

Well I have a couple reasons for doing it, one just because I wanted to! I wish I would've with my 13 year old cause he was a late talker & he would get us frustrated trying to communicate.

The other reason is my BF is deaf in one ear & his other ear is progressively getting worse as time goes on. He doesn't have insurance & has such a complex about it & refuses to see a doctor. So I thought this would be a great way for us all to learn some sign language cause we will probably all need it at some point in the future to communicate & this way I can use the baby as an excuse since the BF is stubborn & won't learn for himself. :)

I was watching the duggers (19 kids and counting, yes I love that show) the other day and apparently they do a little of that. the mom made the comment that they teach the babies to do it because it is better than screaming babies LOL the youngest kinda bounces her fingers off each other to indicate "more" :)

I don't know about the screaming part but they really do learn to communicate faster that way, I know Bela signed & reconized sign's long before she talked to us:) Especially "more" & "candy"

What a wonderful plan. And a great nonthreatening way to get BF to maybe learn the sign language. My DH has 18% hearing in each ear from birth so he learned how to read lips at a very young age.

I read an article a while back about how babies can learn to communicate through sign language at a much younger age than through speech. You have every reason to be proud. And yes, you have a smart little one. Imagine all the learning you guys can do!
