Hi everyone! Made it back from the vape meet in Nashville in one piece. Will tell all in a minute.

I've been dying to know how it went! You didn't happen to bring back any brownies (and ice cream) with you?

For some reason I'm now wanting brownies.

Holy crap, I've been researching prices and typing my answer, and like 200 pages have gone by. :p

I forgot what you were looking to buy but have you tried either Discount Vaper's or My Vapor Store? Both have very good reps :)

3 black 650 mah Ego Twists, some Evods, and all the fixings (a handful of back-up USB chargers, a case, and some Evod atty heads). Discount Vaper doesn't have 650 mah Twists and My Vapor Store is out of medium cases.

I'd rather get everything at the same place, so I'll probably go with Sweet-Vapes.com. I wanted to go with GoodProphets.com because I've placed a million orders with them, but... Sweet-Vapes.com is organized MUCH better and will be about $20 cheaper.

Note: damn you, Fasttech, as usual. My order would be $80 cheaper there! But I don't want to risk it... I want to go with someone in the US that advertises w/ brand names.

The meet was at a bar/pub near the Nashville airport. A place where locals hang out, not fancy. There were lots of cars and I would say around 50 to 60 people there, including 3 small vendors. They handed out tickets for drawings held near the end of the meet. DH went with me, lured by pool tables and beer. There was beer and some food you could purchase. The two pool tables were being used as a "rebuildables" station where there were 3 or 4 guys rebuilding coils and rewicking.

In the second room a small vendor from about 25 miles out of Nashville was holding a newbie class. Showing and ego 650 kit with a ce4 set up and explaining how it all worked. Most in the group of 8 were smokers. Lots of basic Q&A. At the end they gave away 2 kits.

The vendors were not the 3 B&M shops in Nashville which surprised me. The shop Dreaswi works at was there so I asked about her. She worked yesterday so she must be ok. Everybody knows everybody through Facebook. Small groups sat together and there was not a lot of mingling like I thought there would be.

I talked to the vendors. The one that held the class did not seem to know about ECF so he took down the website info. The other vendors had tables set up with basic ego kits and cheap clearomizers. I saw one Protank and Evod and lots of lanyards and carry kits and Fasttech type trinkets. Oh, they did have the clearomizers that have the LED lights in them and they were pushing them. No one had anything I wanted or wanted to buy except for an ego case that my spinner with Evod attached does fit in. Good for traveling and I bought it.

I spent the rest of my time in the pool room with the guys rebuilding attys and coils and rewicking. Ten guys and one old lady (me). I got to hold a Vamo 2 and an Innokin SVD and try both. The Vamo wad loaded with green radiator Pluid. It tasted like licorice and I hate licorice, but it was a very good juice. He had the Vamo with a Genny set at 10 watts. After puffing on my spinner and Evod with my Gold in it and then trying that Pluid on that Vamo - I have to get a Vamo. Almost knocked me over compared to the vapor and taste I get on my spinner. Would never buy Pluid - it made me think of vaping Vicks Nyquil, delicious Nyquil but still licorice that lingered on your palate for a while.

The SVD was pretty, but not a comfortable device to hold. I have pretty good sized hands for a woman but the SVD just had too many uneven surfaces and I think it would be uncomfortable to use all day. The Vamo smiled at me. A young guy was getting his coil rebuilt on his K100 and I commented on it, and asked what ohms he was building it for. He almost took a step back and looked at me with his jaw dropped. I asked him if he was one of those "sub ohm" guys and he started talking to me. He let me hold his MVP. It's the new one because it had the USB charging outlet. I asked him if he charged his Iphone on it. He asked to look at my spinner and when I told him I was 23 days smoke free he actually shook my hand. I got along a lot better with this group than everyone ooohing and aaaawing over the LED clearos.

No Juice Swaps. The group meets once a month. I would hang with the guys and learn how to rebuild attys. The giveaways were clearo and little bottles of juice I would not vape. But it was a nice bunch. Very geared to newcomers. The older people sat at tables and chatted and the younger guys were in the pool room where the only action was. They were wrapping coils around Quetips. It looks like the young ones were letting 3 guys do the building for them, they were not trying to learn.

One of the vendors handed me her card and asked if she could take my name. She is interested in setting up a trailer to sell the basics near where I live and would I be interested in getting involved with that. I will talk to her in the future. Maybe I found a way to pay for vape gear. I told her how new I was and that I did not know anything about rebuilding and modding, etc. She did not seem to care.

All in all it was a good experience. I will go back next month without DH. The poor man was bored out of his mind and cranky after just 2 hours there (no pool table to play pool on so a waste of time for him).

By the time I left I could understand why the 3 Nashville shops were not there. I was amazed that no one in the whole place was aware of ECF. Does ECF have business cards that I could get so I can hand them out to people? The vendors aren't active here either, a couple never heard of ECF. What gives?

I mean, I got my Vamo there, so I definitely don't dislike them or anything. But this is my big "I think I finally figured out after 3 years everything I need to conveniently carry around that I'll be happy with" order... so I don't want to mess it up or get low quality/broken items. Also, I'm excited and want faster shipping. ;)

Although... I just found this, which is cool. It's a Fasttech employee being honest that the Evod heads aren't Kanger, and that they never claimed that they were. I respect that. Are these heads and the Evods listed Kanger Brand?: FastTech Forums

My goodness it's chatty on here tonight!! ;) love you all!!
Had a fairly good wknd, smoked a little more than I wanted to but all in all I kept it under 10 each day! I'm loving my new toy (itaste) & still trying to figure out all the vv/vw stuff. But so far so good.
I hope you all are doing ok & getting by, I'm gonna try & play catch up now! :)

Oooops Jessermay. I got you confused with someone else when I posted all that about voltage and ohms and watts. I am glad you are liking it. Now I don't remember who I told what I meant to tell you. But I told it to somebody right before I posted about the meet. I did not ignore you, just forgot you were the lucky one with the new vw toy. Sorry.
