I don't know if I should put this here or not but I have been vapin for 4 years and still have an analog. We all struggle. I still love the smell of fresh opened pack of cigs and the smell of fresh smoke.

It sounds like you enjoy tobacco. Have you found a good tobacco vape? Do you also like cigars and pipes?

I'm not .... my story is somewhere back in this thread.

Sorry. I was overwhelmed with 34 pages to read. I started reading them over but... I got sidetracked. I will go find your story in the near future. Hope I didn't offend you. I would rather welcome someone several times than miss one who is new. I think posting in here takes a bit of guts in the beginning.

And hello & welcome Brandy ... you are new to me and of course you should post here!
This is EXACTLY why we are all here, we still smoke (Oh The Horror!) sometimes, and don't see any reason to be ashamed of the fact :)

I just need to vent. I'm a chain vaper and last night my hubby jumped down my throat accusing me of vaping too much. I'm still at a half of pack and that is a struggle for me. I ended up getting quite defensive and showing him some articles on how much better this is for me. He still smokes as well with no vaping.
I'm curious to know how many milliliters everyone vapes in a day. I vape about 3. I would love to hear from others.
It only takes one person to start a revolution.

I range between 2ml - 5ml depending on the day and how many I smoke. For now, I'm not worried about either. I figure every one less cigarette is one less cigarette and that's good. Part of my motivation is economics, as well as health and not smelling like a smoker and breaking smoker habits. I don't see myself as a non-smoker yet and that's what I'm working on breaking. I think some people have to break the transition down into very tiny baby steps. I'm changing my identity.

Your husband may be reacting to a whole host of things that aren't always directly related to you. Your making a change with an addiction and he may feel threaten by your change or that his addiction might be threatened. Who knows? He's defensive and that's rarely logical, but emotional. IMHO. Maybe humor will work, maybe involving him by going to a vape meet? Don't take it personally.

Congrats on vaping. I have several vape meets available per month within an hour of where I live. I can say that support here and what I get there and from the groups on facebook have helped and make it fun. I find support is essential.

I would love to be so close to a vape meet. Maybe someday. :)

Hey y'all, I have been lost in the DIY threads lately. I'm getting all excited about it again, mostly because I have all the supplies sitting here from last go round. The problem I was having before is already back. I find a delicious looking recipe, I look through the tackle box, don't have what I need to make it, and then I go shopping. This place has brown sugar but is out of stock on Oba Oba, this place has Oba Oba but doesn't even carry brown sugar, and this place doesn't have either but they do have Dark Honey Tobacco. So, I'm filling carts all over the place and obsessing about how I'm going to get my hands on what I need, because I need it RIGHT NOW. I had to absolutely slap myself silly tonight! I emptied all the carts I had filled, shut down the internet, and went outside to smoke. Came back to tell you guys how stupid I feel right now.

This is a pattern with me. I recognized the pattern when I started vaping the 2nd time. I acknowledge it's power over me, and I can't blame it all on my addictive personality. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.

So, I'm promising myself that I am not buying any more DIY supplies until I master a mix with the stuff I already have on hand. And, I'm not buying any cheap commercial juice so I have no choice but to make it myself. The only luxury I'm allowing myself is WTA juice and I've got a few flavors of that on hand to finish off before I order some more. I am running out of my all time favorite, though, so this will be a struggle!

Hope you are all doing well and I promise not to be absent anymore!

It about kills me not to get into DIY, but I have no hope of ever following a reciepe. Heck, I can't even stand driving home the same way. I just have LOTS of favorite flavors and ideas about what to try, etc. But I love trying all the different vendors too. So I ended up scooping up unflavored nic on sale and stuffing it into the freezer. It lasts indefinatley in VG. I'll probably pick up more on sale.

A tip given to me was to try a few drops of flavors you want mixed in with whipped topping to see if you like them together, tweak them, etc. You might enjoy living on the edge without following a reciepe. Taste is subjective. Keep track of the drops = percentages to mix up when you have success.

I also haven't been emptying my tanks before adding a new flavor. I've found it's successful if I really like both flavors. The WTA mixes with everything, no failures yet. That's also my favorite vape right now because I'm finding I'm sensitive to something in a lot of juices and WTA is easier for me to vape. It definatley cuts a craving for an analog too. I'm ending up wanting to switch flavors around a lot during the day.

But I got 3 bottles of WTA 24mg and by adding it to lesser mg's, I've extended the range to 10 or more different flavors ... (still ongoing). Love it. Playing with the novelty of vaping has helped a lot in keeping me vaping. I'm not ready to give it up.

Thanks for your help! Dale, I do keep all my emails about purchases, but I lose paper receipts a LOT. Some stuff I can look at it and say where I bought it and how much it was, the rest is a mystery and should remain one. If I ever looked at all the money I've spent vaping I'd have a heart attack!!

Alkanae, you are already DIY-ing! You know what tastes good together, you don't have to follow a recipe, and your freezer is full of nic. One day you'll get real adventurous and grab a bottle of Lorann flavoring from Walmart, the rest will be history!:D Just don't let it drive you crazy like I do, it's all good! Yeah, the WTA RY4 was about half full, so I filled the bottle with the RY4 non-WTA. It's the same flavor, but the WTA action has been cut in half. Definitely not hurting anything, I think it's psychological on my part, and after I use it for a few days I'll realize it's still yummy! Are you using the holy grail, unflavored WTA? I've got some vanilla, some dark honey tobacco, and some RY4. They would all mix nicely with other vendors non-wta and probably help extend their lifespan as well. Thanks for the tip!

Hello y'all. I went to the doctor today and got more xanex. I don't know why, but stress / anxiety / panic? are kicking my .... to the point of producing physical problems. That's one thing that keeps me smoking and it's hard for vaping to replace. It's bad enough that I've ended up in the er with heart attack pain and symptoms. I've had tests on my heart and it's fine. So I'm stumped.

I don't feel any different otherwise. This is out of the blue sky. I don't know why this is happening anymore than I know what to do about it and I was wondering if anyone else had this experience - and other tips, understanding, ideas, empathy or sympathy or whatever. Like I said, I'm stumped and I'm not sure what I'm looking for or need or ...
