I finally made an appointment with a new doctor that I hope will take me on as a patient, after me knowing I needed to do it since March. So you are being a much better patient than I am. I finally made an appointment for Thursday since I can not take my mouth problem anymore and worked myself into such a tizzy and bundle of nerves that my hands and feet are breaking out in a nervous dermatitis so bad I can hardly walk without pain. Just me being stupid and stubborn and insisting I can wait it out. Hope he agrees to take me as a patient since I have no insurance. I think he might because I have seen him a couple of times a year or so ago and he sent a letter stating he was dropping his admitting privileges at the only area hospital.
Lots of people where I live are having trouble with their insurance companies dropping their plans or employers dropping coverage or raising the rates so high people can't afford it.
No one has
ever said that I was good about going to the Dr.! I need to frame that.

I'm sorry to hear that your still having mouth issues, and that it, in turn, has caused other issues. That has got to be so painful. I hope the Dr. you are seeing Thur. takes you on as a new patient ... and hopefully they will give you a break on price since you're not insured. I've actually found over the last couple of years that sometimes it has cost me less to not use my insurance -- I was paying 94 dollars more per office visit when I used my insurance, and my med.'s were costing me 3 times as much.
Like you, I know a lot of people that are either being dropped from their insurance or are facing not being able to afford the new rates. I had better shush now, because I could go on for an hour over the governments idea of what is affordable and what it is truly costing the American citizens.
