Yet another noob! With Questions!

Hi, first off, I'm Janis and I live in the UK.

I got a mini cig a while back and just received the extras I ordered. I now have two batteries and atomizers and around 40 prefilled cartridges. I have been on this thing since yesterday morning, so around 36 hours without an 'analoge' (love it!) and doing fine.

After reading this forum, I have now worked out that the reason the cig kept 'breaking down' on me, was because I didn't realise it has such a short battery life, so today, I've been charging spare, while using other every couple of hours and so on!

I have honestly read as much as I can here, but the more I read, the more confused I get!

I have worked out that buying juice and filling my own cartridges is the way to go, but now I'm at a loss at where to get it, there are so many suppliers! Is Wicked a reliable source?

The other thing I keep seeing here is information about 'high voltage' devices. Not altogether sure what they are, but I think I want one! Where would I go to get one of these? What are they called if I wanted to do a search? And more to the point, DO I want one???

Also read some stuff here about a ban, is this just the US or will it affect the UK too?

I keep reading that China is the place to get the cheapest stuff, but where do I find suppliers in China?

Oh and by the way, I have a 510 on order and on its way, after reading the glowing reviews here, so I will then have three cigs on the go!

Any advice you can give me, would be soooo appreciated, I promise! I have been smoking 20 a day for the last 25 years and desperate to quit!

I am quite new myself but from what ive noticed so far is that i like to drip my juice directly on the atomizer rather than filling my own or buying prefilled carts. I buy the highest strength (usually 24mg) juice and cut it 50/50 with vegetable glycerin and double my supply. As far as the higher voltage devices, i couldnt help it i bought a "copper" from atmosbiz.usa which is here in the states and i dont know if you can get them in England. I love that thing, i find it harder and harder to use my 4081. Just keep posting and trying new things and you will find what you like. I find myself more addicted to trying new juices and devices. I have not had a desire to smoke a cigarette in a while and hope now that i found something that i enjoy and dont get cravings for cigs anymore it wont be banned.

perezdap, I'd be interested in knowing where you got your 'copper' but my browser says the site you gave, atmosbiz.usa doesn't exist.

You can get as high as 60mg of nicotine juice, but more normal is around 24 mg or 36mg, or 18mg or 12mg, which I use. (Trying to cut down).

You'll like your 510 and you'll like making your own juice. I don't get the impression that dripping on a 510 is very successful and you don't want to ruin your atomizer just yet. I think dripping is for the higher model PV's. Try to read all the New Member threads and you'll learn a lot. Looks like you're well on your way! Good luck! :D

PerezDap, just looked at the Copper, gonna sound really stupid now, but what is it? Is it a battery charger itself? Would I be able to use it with my 510? I really don't have a clue!

Sorry, just watched the vid on the site! Didn't realise they were actually the e cig itself!!! I'll stick with the 510 for now!

Its a high voltage mod, it takes 2 CR2 3.0 volt batteries or one 14500 3.7 volt battery. Its basically a custom e-cig. Its not made by the guys that make the 510 out of china. You can use an adapter for a 510 atomizer. There are quite a few of these custom units, the copper, prodigy, protege, i believe the screwdriver is made in the UK. In the case of the copper if you use 2 CR2 batteries it runs at 6 volts, if you use the 14500 it runs at 3.7 volts. The atty will burn hotter at 6 volts, more vapor etc. Im not an expert at any of this at all, im still learning. I decided to buy the copper because i had parts for the 4081 which is the atomizer that the copper is built for. Its also not that expensive, you can get the copper without the battery or atomizer for only $55.
