A link to a subreddit devoted to custom battery wraps piqued my interest and I had to try my hand at it.

Initial results.

I've already come up with more design ideas than I have batteries. I can use more batts anyhow.:)

For anyone wishing to make their own, clear wraps and positive terminal gaskets are inexpensive and available at BATTWRAP or even cheaper and in larger quantities at fasttech.

Post'em if ya wrapped'em.

You print a properly sized image on plain printer paper, cut it out, wrap it around the battery then slide the sleeve over the entire thing and apply heat to shrink it into place.

I read 58.5mm X 65mm is the right dimensions for 18650s. I made mine 691px X 768px @ 300ppi and they came out slightly small. Had a 1-2mm gap where the paper meets and a 2-3mm gap at the top and bottom. I will compensate on my next wraps. Better to be slightly too large and trim.

Some people on the subreddit have used shelf paper and I pondered cutting images from magazines.

The Pink Floyd theme is cool , but Bud Light? Really? Doesn't belong on a battery wrap, let alone a can calling itself "beer".
Incorporate some useful info on the print (purchase date, specs and where that batt fits in your sets and groups, and I think it's pretty cool.

Good thinking, I forgot to mention the battery specs and purchase date is in the back unseen in the photos. On screen the info font looked as if it may be too small but was easily readable when printed.

I have a new set of LGs for an upcoming RX200. They will be wrapped with the Reuleaux RX200 logo after I confirm they aren't faulty by running them through a few cycles.

I didn't forsake my roots and still oft' drunk beer when discovering craft brews but if it helps I have a Bell's Two Hearted Ale label sized and ready to wrap.

It's not super hard to find here in Dallas. Half a dozen places have it. Not sure about up there.
Next trip to 99 Bottles then.. I sent the pic to my buddy (he home-brews) asking where that has been in the collection he brings out for us. "Old school. That has been around my place several times before." ....... is holding out on us!
