You do not have to profess REO love (at least, immediately) :)

So I'm talking on the phone with the Reo in my hand....gesticulating....and out it flies...slams into the desk, and falls to the floor...pretty hard. The atty is now sitting like the tower of pisa and I quickly unscrew it and find the dead 1st atty and screw it in. It stands up. Phew!

But really, terrible luck. I have no other attys. I spent my first days with the Reo disappointed, only to be pleasantly surprised that I was dealing with a poor performing atomizer all the while. I screwed on the 2nd Cisco and the thing is vaping like a dream all morning. I got maybe 2 hours out of this atty and now I'm outta luck.

Unless there is someone in NYC that can send one for tomorrow, I'm probably going to have to go cold turkey for a few days. I'm only 5 days "clean" and I don't think it's going to happen. If someone can think of an idea on how to get an atty today or at the latest tomorrow, let me know. Otherwise I'm going to have to buy a pack of analogs to tide me over.

Don't abandon hope on that Pisa atty yet - I dropped my Grand a couple days ago and the cylinder on my atty separated a bit from the base. I unscrewed it, tapped the tube back down with a mallet, screwed it back on, and am still vaping on it. It may not be dead!

At last I'm Squonking! After over 70 days of using the Ego leak I think I can sell my shares in Kleenex. I got my Reo on Monday and have been waiting for my Batts and charger. By "waiting" I mean pacing and checking the mail constantly. Today the Batts arrived. After another painful wait on a charge, I'm a Squonkin!! To start the flavour is so much better. I loaded my first bottle with Juicy Clear's Timmys double double using a 510 lr, mmm mmm good. The flavour is so much different from the EgoT I'm interested to see if any of the flavours I didn't like are better. I'll have to start experimenting with other atties and carts as well. I'm kicking myself I didn't buy a multimeter when I ordered my Batts and charger from RTD. I went to a couple stores to buy one and waste a little time while waiting on the first charge :). Don't worry I had my wife monitering them and they were in a metal can. I didn't buy one though they were all 3-4 times the price from RTD. I may buy a LIPO bag to store and charge the batteries in. I might even buy an outlet timer to use with the charger. Maybe thats overkill but I know I'm going to end up putting batteries on charge and forgeting about them.

CONGRATS and WELCOME TO THE TEAM Nergost!! The REO is a bit different in terms of flavor from the EGO-T. Some juices that tasted ok, actually tastes awesome in a REO. I hope that you find the set-up of your choice. There's so many different combinations you could try. For beginners, it's always better to start out with cartomizers before you move up to atomizers. Which is my preference.

Anyways, you really don't need to have a multimeter with your REO and it's really not necessary. It is helpful at times though, but you could always get that later. I hope you fully enjoy your REO and don't hesitate to ask questions.

That is wonderful, Nergost! I'm so glad you finally got it. :) Ya...after I got my REO...I realized that the flavors I liked on my eGo didn't really do much for me on my REO and some flavors I didn't like on my eGo came alive on my REO...but I was still sneaking smokes back then too, so it wasn't until I had been using my REO for a couple months before I really found some flavors I could sink my "teeth" into. Enjoy the journey! :)

PS...I forget my batteries in my charger all the time  Never had a problem, but it only takes one time to reap devastating results. I only charge my batteries when I'm working. That way, there is always someone in the room with them. I own enough batteries, to last me for a few days without recharging...so I don't feel I have to chance it. ;)

Hello all....Thanks a ton for all the suggestions and help. Unfortunately I've been away from ECF until now and missed out on all the help. Thanks to everyone that PMed me and offered help. Funny, the pisa atty still does work...I was being a bit of a prima donna and just gave up on vaping because I couldn't stand everything no longer being perfect. I went back to analogs for a few days, but now I'm going to just vape on this atty until new ones arrive. Thanks again for all the help and suggestions!

After having this mod for almost 2 weeks now. I must now confess I am becoming a fanboy. this is the least fiddly device I currently own. Its nice to grab and go not worrying about, leaking tanks, carrying juice bottles, filling cartos all the time, dripping while driving. unlike many e cig items i have bought in the past this has been with me 24-7.

im loving my mini woodvil alot. im figuring out i like a 3.7 vape with a 306 for flavor best. i have a provari also and its set on 3.8 with a 306....so...... im almost thinking about trading the provari away and grabbing a regular woodville or one of the new mid size woodvilles. guess i really dont need vv after all.

So happy you are enjoying your mini woodvil! I've been thinking along the same lines about vv. I just don't see how anything can be better than my woodvil with a 306 on it. I tried some kind of tube mod at a vape meet up at 6 volts and didn't really care for it. (It was hot and didn't produce near the amount of vapor my reo does) Plus it is nice just ordering
306 attys and 18650 batteries...no 'more what do I need' headaches!

G'Day,
I have my first Reo, a woodvil 18490, and it is a lovely looking mod!
I have always used cartos and was looking for more flavour by using a reo and a
SmokTech 306 Low Resistance Atomizer ( which I am also new to ).

There is a strange soapy taste in the atty that mutes the flavour.
I blew out the primer till I was blue in the face and no more came out.
I primed it with about 5 drops
I took a few drags and then sqonked it and flooded it.
after 2 days I have the hang of squoking the right amount consistantly.

I have vaped it enough to be on the second battery but still that taste remains and the flavour is less than a duel coil carto.
Does anyone know what I am doing wrong ?

thanks
A Reo Newbie

I haven't use the SmokTeck attys, so I'm afraid I can't help you. Most flavor problems are from flooding. In your case, it sounds like an atty problem, not your technique.

It could also be that a difference in the resistance is causing unpleasant flavors to become dominant in your juice.

Hal(My Reo grand) came home today. After 2 years of vaping using ego's,kr808-d,a joye 510,and a madvapes vv box mod.Various cartos, atties, even a tank mod.....Hal and a resurector 1.7 ohm carto is my vape heaven. Now just getting used to squoinking and trying to learn to blind squoink so I can try out a I06 atty.Heck I may even go and buy me a HH357.The Reo is everything I have wanted and more.

Try soaking your atty in vodka or PGA for awhile then rinse and dry. Then re-prime it and see if that helps. If not, try soaking it in lemon juice then rinse and dry.

mlinky is right....if cleaning the atty doesn't kill this new unexpected flavor, it could be that your juice is simply exhibiting a new flavor profile than it did before because it is being vaped at a different level of power than what you were using before. If this is the case, try using a higher resistance atty. I keep forgetting that happened with me too when I first started with my REO. the flavors I enjoyed on my eGo weren't as enjoyable on the REO....and I ended up finding new juices that just sang with my new setup. :) Didn't ever occur to me to try a higher resistance atty. No harm done though...I wasn't disappointed as I didn't miss those juices. Keep us posted, Graham!

*edit....sorry I also forgot to mention I was having flavor issues back then too because I was just quitting smoking.

I just received a Woodvil 18490 as a gift. I already have a Reo Mini.

Out of the box, this Woodvil gave me the vape I've been looking for ever since I began vaping. I couldn't believe it the other day when I tried for the first time.

Which leads me to believe there may be something up with my Mini. For some reason, the performance is inconsistent. It leaks constantly. I don't get a ton of flavor like a do with the Woodvil.

The only explanation I could come up with is that there is something wrong with the atty in the Mini. Or else, I may need to clean it with some alcohol, as it has been covered with juice many times due to leaking. I'm going to replace the atomizer later today as well to see if that helps. However, I have used a few attys on this mini, and so far nothing compares to the Woodvil.

Theoretically, shouldn't both devices perform the same way? I assume I am vaping at 3.7v on both devices?

I have read something about a rubber O-ring that can get displaced? I don't see one on my mini, though this could account for the constant leaking.

What is the best way to clean the mini, if wiping it down with alcohol isn't the best way? I plan to get a syringe and shoot some water through the hole as well. Would be great to have this mini working properly, as it's been giving me a headache for so long. I'm so glad I have this Woodvil, as it's completely changed how I feel about vaping. I was almost thinking of giving up until now!
