Hi.

I'm new here. Just finished up my newbie posts over in the new members forum.

I've Been vaping over a year and just made the transition to a Triton and G6 set up.

Busily working my way through the Halo juices, looking for that perfect one, and not having too much success.

Not that I'm not enjoying them, just learning the ins and outs of the Halo juices. They need to steep is what I'm thinking.

They just seem to have an edge.

Anyway. Here's the crazy part. I was vaping some HX3 in a Carto when it hit me to throw a little bit of Fusion in on top. Then it hit me that some Belgium Cocoa might add a nice touch. Not bad, but something was missing. So. In went a splash of Cool Mist.

OMG.

As they say on the interwebs.

Really quite good if I do say so myself :)

The first of many happy accidents ahead, I'll warrant.

Just my way of introducing myself and saying Hello.

Thanks for all the info everyone here provides for those of us with questions and wot not.

I'll have to wait until I've figured out the ratios and then figure out how it works in a tank to do that.
Your not crazy. Alot of us mix Halo flavors they are great for mixing. We have a recipe thread here somewhere of the different mixes people like. You should add yours to that thread.

What flavors have you tried so far? if you started with Voodoo, then your just not ready for it's mind-altering effects yet, start with something errybuddy luvs, like Kringle's Curse or Tribeca.

I picked up The Tobacco Sampler. I'm very happy with Tribeca, Prime15, Midnight Apple, Turkish.

Longhorn is good, but tastes like whiskey to me: not great for breakfast. ;)

Torque56 I'm going to let sit for a bit.

I picked up some Cafe Mocha and Belgian Cocoa. These taste good, but burned immediately with the stock coil, so I'm glad I went ahead and ordered a couple of VV's. I'm looking forward to re-trying them at a lower voltage.

I also tried Captain Jack and Freedom Juice. These are going to sit for a while as well. HX3 I sort of like. Still figuring that one out.

That leaves Malibu, Voodoo and Cool Mist yet to be test tasted out of what I have at the moment.

My first 30ml purchases have been, Prime15, Tribeca, and Fusion.

I'll probably work my way through most of Halos offerings over time, just to try them.

I'm a die-hard Halo hardware fan, but they're juice isn't for everyone. Taste is a very subjective thing. I've been through most of their juice and found its just not my thing. Don't be afraid to try juice from other vendors, just make sure you use it in your Halo set-up! :smokie:

Halo is a starting point for me. They have a rep for consistency and quality. It seemed like a good way to learn the basics, and just try a lot of juices that aren't going to change every batch. I like the fact that they are primarily a juice company that also happens to have a reliable tank system: a one stop shop as it were.

They are also in the neighborhood. Makes for fast shipping.

I'd been used to One flavor until a week or so ago. It's a bit of a shocker. I'm pretty new to all of this.

As I wrote above, I haven't smoked in quite a while. My taste buds are fully functional. It's a little like going from Fifties BW television to IMAX.

Then add in a tank system instead of cartos... pretty mind blowing increase in taste, vapor, and overall performance.

Maybe in the future I'll want to try other juices and delivery systems. For now I'm sticking with Halo.

Tribeca seems to be my number One at the moment.

Prime15 is a weird one. Sometimes it is a totally clean analog-like flavor, sometimes it is Burnt Almond tasting, and sometimes it is like buttered popcorn. Seems to depend on how hot the coil is, how full the tank is, and whether the wicks are immersed or not. Funny.

I like Midnight Apple, but I think it needs to air a bit. Definitely a strong green apple taste.

Tribeca is nice but it is slipping down the list for me as an ADV, as it is irritating my throat a bit.

Malibu has taken over the top spot at the moment.

I have some Kringle's on the way.

One thing I've noticed with Halo's tobacco flavors is that they don't necessarily mean cigarette tobacco. Mostly they strike me as being more cigar or pipe related.

Voodoo is pretty good.

eeeeeeeeeehhhhhhxelllent, muahahahahahaha!

most e-juices dont really replicate traditional cig tobacco, it's a really hard thing to simulate the burning portion. where-as pipe tobacco tends to be mixed with aromatics.

Voodoo is pretty good.

bah....the insanity begins.

I let Midnight Apple sit with the dropped off for an hour or two before I vape it. Really tones down the candy apple taste and turns more into a pipe tobacco type flavor. And yay! for ordering some Kringle's!!!

Yeah, I'm pretty much letting the Midnight Apple age for awhile before going back to it. It's definitely a winner just needs some time and air.

I received my order from Halo Today.

Kringle's was a big hit surprisingly. Didn't expect that, but there you have it. Right out of the bottle.

Tiki is good. That one needs to air for awhile. but I liked it well enough to vape it every now and then.

The SubZero is staring at me from across the room. I didn't really get that to vape straight, more to use as an additive.

I'm trying to ignore it.

I was never a menthol smoker, but I do find I like at least a little menthol in a vape. Makes for a clean finish.

The Two that are really hard to take for me are Freedom Juice and Captain Jack. I can taste something good in those, but they are both like vaping men's cologne. Maybe that will change after they have aired out for a Year or Two. Cafe Mocha is a little like that. Tasty but it really needs some time to blow the volatiles off. Belgian Cocoa has really improved with some air even over the short time I've had it. That is a great low temp vape.

It'll take awhile for me to get enough e-juice laid aside to where I will have the luxury of just letting it sit.

Malibu is still way out in front. Really like that stuff.

One I just tried recently for the first time is Shamrock. It was very good. Think of Belgian but lighter/a tad sweeter and a light mint. I wasn't a menthol smoker so I don't like a heavy menthol. The mint reminds me of a breeze of it just like in Malibu.

There's several Halo flavors I haven't tried yet. I guess I found some I love and stuck with them but now when I order a 30 ml bottle of something, I throw in a sample here and there to try.
