...this thought runs through your mind immediately afterward: "Oh hell. I KNOW I didn't get enough juice in there. Ahh... let me just squank that one more time..." STOP! Hold it right there, Jack. You've just had glorious success, and you're about to ruin a perfect blind squank.

If you think to yourself right after a blind squank: "Yeah baby... that hit it real good!" then you're doomed. You've flooded it. lol

When they say take an unpowered hit while squanking, and the minute you hear a gurgle, stop... they should say "...the MILLISECOND you hear a gurgle, stop." I also think that you should just listen for the gurgle, and not try to sense resistence when you dry hit. It's my experience that when it feels like your drawing liquid through a straw, even for a split second, you've already flooded everything.

I've been going like this for about 4 days now, and believe me when I tell you my Mini is rocking at peak performance. When you spend the whole day blind squanking perfectly, your atty just sings. Every hit is a flavor explosion; I can go the whole day without any juice in the catch-cup, except perhaps for a slight film of juice on the connector; I go the whole day with nearly no gurgling; and not one drop of hot liquid will spit at you and burn your tongue. It's unbelievable how little a proper feed is supposed to be.

Just the findings and opinions of a noob... but I can't ignore results. It's because of these super results that I thought I'd share. Maybe some out there brand new to bottom feeders and Reos will find it helpful.

Boy, you're right, Gil. When I start having the least bit of "trouble" on the blind squonk, it ALWAYS turns out that I'm running low on juice. A full bottle and a hot-off-the-charger battery is pure bliss. Add the HH 357 to that and I just simply don't think it can be beat. Period. I know there are those 5-6 volt vapers who are going to contradict me, but I am very, very happy with my 3.7v vaping under the above conditions.(Actually it's about 4.1v vaping......)

Vego, for a "newbie" you seem to have it down! Aren't these little mods just magical? :)

Ah, the REO. So little in size... so GIANT in stature.

You know, being a newbie, and being so infatuated with vaping on the whole compels me to vape with an intensity and focus that perhaps the seasoned veteran has long since left behind, having become so familiar and at ease in their vaping... maybe?!? When you love something as much as I love vaping, you end up getting with the program all the faster. But God knows, I got a lot to learn.

You are doing such a great job helping others new to the REO! Thank you for sharing!

I don't really consider myself a seasoned veteran of vaping yet. But after purchasing a lot of REO's I can say the intensity and focus of vaping has yet to leave me! I just love it and I love my REO's!

That is what I have been doing, I use mostly Boge LR 2.0 and Resurrectors. I no longer fill them before I put them on my REO. I usually blind squonk a couple of times prior to firing. I think a little practice and you will get it down quickly. Having juice at the top really doesn't make a difference. I do think I am getting better performance and longer life from my cartos using this method.

Use same cartos as above and get the same great results. Good Luck.

Hopefully tomorrow I'll get the chance to practice some more. Holiday mail speeds bleh. Def tired of hand filling cartos.

Yep no longer prefilling cartos Just a couple blind squonks and go its so much easier. I use both 2.0 & 3.0 boges at 5&6v have to squonk a little more often but works great

Does the same hold true for a typical boge carto for example? I worry about not getting enough juice to the top. On that note as well, I read somewhere on here about not prefilling. The post said blind squonk it twice. Are people finding that effective?

Good question, Amutt. It makes me realize the advice I posited opening up this thread probably doesn't apply to cartos. I failed to mention I've only been working with attys. I'm glad you brought it up and that the others have stepped up with info.
