Blaming it on all the enthusiastic reonauts on this forum, I have placed and paid my order with Robert. A silver vein Grand. Also all the spares you all recommended - shipping to South Africa is expensive. Now to start practising to build coils - as you can see from my limited experience I skipped a few steps. Only got to a Vamo and Kanger tanks. Hopefully thankfully.

Great appreciation for all the Reoville people for your help and information in my research to come to this expensive decision. Will certainly have more questions in future. Whilst I am at it, what's the function of a button cover? Purely aesthetic? Well, got one - its silver after all.:p

Still can't make heads or tails of the air hole which must point up, but maybe will understand when RM2 is in my hands.

A special thanks to the reonaut who pm'd me. She has generously offered to post me two AW IMR batteries to use whilst I try to get a vendor to ship AW batteries to South Africa. Wow, I was bowled over. As she sent a pm I can not disclose her handle, but she had a birthday not too long ago!

Patience is a virtue...expedite, Robert, expedite!!!

Looking at your banner and seeing that you have only quit the cigs 44 days ago, you are saving yourself lots of money buying the REO now! Most don't find the REO's until they have spent hundreds on various high end PV's.

You will be very happy that your decision to purchase the REO will result in the ownership of the best of the many PV's around. No need to search further!

Congratulations on your wise decision to go REO!

The airhole in the RM2 needs to be directly next to the coil for proper airflow. Beyond that, my understanding is that it should point up so that juice doesn't block air intake, although I've used it with the air hole anywhere between 8 o'clock and 4 o'clock with no problem.

It's my understanding that the air hole should be positioned in such a way that it points up when taking a drag to prevent any liquid from leaking out. The RM2 is so well designed, however, that it'd be tough to get it to leak through the air hole. The cup-shaped deck and swift drainage of excess liquid have made over-squonking and resulting flooding a non-issue for me.

Wise choice on your REO Grand. that Color will be amazing. yeah, about the Airhole pointing up - if it's not pointing generally in the up direction when you raise the mod on your mouth to take a hit, liquid can block the airhole resulting in a less than optimum vape.

Here's a link to a video I made where there is a good bit about airhole placement

Congrats and welcome bro :)

Thanks everyone. Certainly now understand the airhole position, us untechs take a little longer. That video is in my library, super_X_drifter , along with most of your other vids and picture essay - homework whilst waiting for the reo. Now understand the button cover too. Pity the photo on the web site is misleading. Thanks for the link nerak. Did actually find it earlier - awaiting a reply on my pm from wonderlite.

I have two RM2s and neither of them points "up" and I've never had them leak from the air hole. Important thing is that the air hole and the coil are lined up when the cap is screwed on and even that is not a concern because Rob uses magic porcupine dust to ensure that they do align.:)

My RM2 on my VVGrand points to 3 o'clock. No issues unless I oversquonk a lot.

3, 4, even 5 oclock work fine for me and 7, 8, and 9 of course. 5 and 7 oclock can leak out hole a bit if oversquonked. 6 oclock I turn my hand a bit till juice a little less. Shoot, if my hands are reasonably clean I'll wipe the little bit off and clean finger with a lick. All my juices are yummy enough to drink, though.

If I have work apron on (most of the time), I give it a swipe with apron. I do ocassionally get a drop on shirt when I'm reclining. But anything I wear reclining is washable and normally sees much worse than a drop of juice, like wet or muddy country dogs and even an ocassional Mastiff slobber with the exception of night clothes when in bed. Dogs are banned from immediate vicinity of beds. ;)
