Young-June Chrome Vari Tube- DOA?

I just received my Varitube from Litecig today, and when I went to put the battery in, all I get is three blinks of the screen, then silence...

I have the battery on the charger right now, and I'm hoping that it will work after it gets a good charge. Any other advice? Is my unit DOA, and if so, is there any way to give it a hard reset?? The circuitry seems to be intact, as the screen blinked when I stuck the battery in...

I doubt that I'll have any issues getting another one from Litecig if this one is indeed DOA, but I want to troubleshoot this first. Thanks in advance, all!

Mine can be difficult to "turn on" as it were. LOL. I have to press the menu button five or six times just as fast as I possibly can. Hope this helps.

You might want to stretch the spring on the bottom cap out a bit, see if that helps. My lavatube would keep resetting when I first got it, and realized the battery had too much 'wiggle room'. Pulled the spring out a little and it's worked flawlessly since. Worth a try, hope your mod isn't DOA.

Just before you posted, I figured it out! YES! it works just fine. Wow, well at least it will be tough to unlock if it's sitting in my pocket, lol. I really like this thing now- it works great!

The rapid-fire lockout feature is what had me fooled.

Ah, yeah, my LT has no bells or whistles, it's the original version. Still love the thing, using a Pheonix clone on it and using it as my at-home pv.

Yeah, the only feature I really like about this one is that it shows the ohm reading of whatever atty/carto I have on it- interestingly, the Vivi nova 2.4 ohm atty reads 2.7-2.9 ohms...and likes to be fired at a much lower voltage than I would normally throw at something with a reading like that.
