Youtube...who do you trust

Ya know, I swear I was going to say the same thing. Tough understand but, what bothered me most is he comes off extremely indecisive. Never a concise, definitive conclusion. I think any of these guys should have their opinions set before they do a review. Any of them. Todd looks around in wonder about everything he is about to say. I know some people like 'him' but I wonder if most are Brits and have no issues with his clarity? Let me be CLEAR, it is NOT personal or, based on UK or USA. How shallow I would be. He seems like a charming guy but, my op asked about reviewing trust. I don't care pretty, or charming or, funny some one is if they're just shills for their vendor, right? I would like to know two things up front from any reviewer, did you pay for what you're about to review and, how many days or weeks have you 'tested' or 'played' with it.
A 30 minute review from someone who you are watching open a box and try? Really? I don't particularly care for "My first impression" reviews. Your first impression?? Are you going to come back in thirty days for a follow up?? Of course, there I go again, LOL. I think a reviewer has a responsibility to do a follow up on EVERY product, if his opinions have changed. I don't see much of that Whew! I'm exhausted! I need a ciggar%#*, I mean vape!

I think you've mistaken diplomacy for indecision. imagine saying in a frank brutal way you think some attys is crap....great wonderful, or that the golden greek is a crap company......imagine the planeloads of nasty emails you'd get from people who disagree with you...who needs the hassle....fools rush in where wise men dare not tread.So I think he couches things in such a way as to not invite undue ire, but in clear enough terms for most people to get.as for the two things you want to know.Todds really upfront about both those things it's usually the first things out of his mouth when doing a review.

At the top of my podium are both Todd and Phil. They're equally honest and entertaining. I really appreciate the frequency with which Mr. Todd uploads. I also really like they way he says "knurling".

My absolute least favorite has for to be Dimitris. There's something about him that rubs me the wrong way. I'm sure he's a nice enough guy and he's done some good things for vaping. However, I can't help but cringe whenever I come across his videos.

Among others, I watch BPusardo, Rip Tripper, Grimm, Vapin' Greek, Todd's, and Indoor Smokers. The latter is way "out there" sometimes but I think that's why people watch. lol His reviews and info is tailored towards newbies and cheap gear from China, getting free stuff for himself, and getting free stuff to do giveaways in order to attract subscribers. He practically begs for subscribers sometimes. He's more motivated to gain subscribers($$$)than actually helping the community.

I know many like Todd's e-cig reviews but I just can't stand his pauses when he gets that stupid half grin on his face and just stares off into space for a while.

I have a difficult time watching his videos anymore. He gives good trusted info and is good overall but his delivery is WAAAAY too slow. I often lose patience with his style and just move on to other videos. Guys like Rip Tripper are the best for me. Good info, straight to the point, and without losing focus or pace.

I would watch Rip Trippers more if he didn't do those insufferable Youtube quick edits. It's the plague of Youtube that I thought would be finally dead after all these years. It makes videos just about unwatchable for me.

That said I did learn how to rebuild Protank microcoils from him, so thanks for that.

Hope she invests the $$ well, cuz I don't see much future there.

I also looked up jenna marbles...Personally, I don't care what she has to say, but does anyone have her phone number...I would love to take her out for a drink. That is one good-looking girl and that is all I care about...lol

I tried. Most videos just will not get to the point. I find myself falling asleep. This has happened so many times that if the video is more than 5 minutes I won't even glance at it.

A review for product X that does not show it or mention it for the first two minutes? Not for me.

I will usually only watch them if I'm looking for information on a specific product.

I bought a Micro Stick based on Scott's review.
I like Todd's vids because he seems very upfront and trustworthy as well.
Vapin Greek because we're fellow Greeks!

pbusardo has some negative things to consider.
He is so popular that he get's things directly from the manufacturer. That's like a food critic going in to a restaurant and saying "I'm the food critic here to review your food!" He raved on and on about the Aspire stuff he was sent direct. Many other people have been having problems.
Plus... doesn't he work for Provape? He definitely has in the past.
Not saying he has bad intentions. I think it's probably the opposite.

I would say there is a reason why all ask you to Subscribe and follow/stalk/whatever. There are youtuber's like a Jenna Marbles who I'm sure makes into the 10's of thousands yearly. Each one of her weekly videos get a million++ views. Not saying any vape reviewer is in her league. Of course she's on the high end. Then there are folks like me who got a 200.00 check for 1 video.
No one is going to tell how much they receive.

It gets worse, I've personally (in person) seen a high profile reviewer take a product to review with a little cash on the side at a vape meet. A week later it got a positive review on the web. Was it really good? Dunno.

I know alot of things happen under the table with some people though, I'm not going to give any names I'm not throwing myself under the bus lots of people here love em'. Todd it's not you mate, we don't even live in the same country, I do watch your hardware reviews though.

I don't watch these YouTube videos to make a decision whether to buy or not, I more so watch them just to see what's out there, most of the stuff I'd never buy anyway.

I agree with your statement and I am beginning to think these reviewers are all shills. You should name the person...so what if you take the heat. The truth is the truth and these people should be exposed. I got your back no matter who it is. Even if it is my favorite reviewer...vapers should stick together not with the vendors...I think it is getting totally out of hand.

Just so you know, her channel is meant for comedy, so her videos are purely satirical

I really enjoy RIPTrippers, Vapingwithtwisted420, GrimmGreen, and Pbusardo, but I'm definitely check out Todd since everyone raves about him so much

I tend to watch the reviews after pressing the buy button. Helps ease the waiting pains. Sometimes I'm tired of my new toy before it finds my mail box. What a relief when HKP rejected and FT refunded; I got to pick different toys.

P. Busardo is the only reviewer I ever saw come right out and call something a piece of junk. I think it's a toss-up on who does the best instructional reviews, Phil or Todd, both are great when it comes to showing how it's done. Vape Girl is the great philosopher of the vaping world IMHO.

I am subscribed to Vape girl too but lately her videos have become more risqué....On her Halloween episode the caption was asking "Is this outfit too Slu**y?" My wife just so happened to see my feed and I had to take her through Vape girls older videos to show her that the girl was in fact a reviewer and nothing more....I don't need that type drama even if it does drive her views up Cause when Mamas not happy nobody's happy...

i gotta say i find Scotts reviews useless every time he reviews a genny he always says the same thing.........."flavors great..like what you'd expect from a gennis style atomizer'.

whereas todd will relate it to similar attys, or say it's got better flavor than that atty or produces great vapor like so and so atty. or has better flavor than most gennys

I have to agree with the above post, I do enjoy the info but I find myself speeding up the video, bypassing the long pauses of nothingness smiles.
