Hi Gavin and welcome to the forum!

All good suggestions. I like PBusardo and Rip Trippers myself.

Hope it helps and Happy Vaping!

Hmmm.

There are lots of good reviewers. There are also lots of people who review specifically to sell you a product and make money for themselves at your expense.

You can usually tell the difference. I watched a reviewer (new to me) the other day... he was reviewing Kanger subtanks. I enjoyed the presentation and style greatly although he's not as charismatic as some.

Then, after the best part of an hour, he put up the link where you can buy the product for $10-$15 more than every other independent vape shop.

It's basically advertising under a different name. I don't like it. In fact.. in the UK it is close to being outlawed under consumer law.

Avoid these charlatans and enjoy watching and vaping! :)

Rip is more of a show to me. PBusardo is really good!

I agree. :)

Also, neither tell us or suggest overtly where to buy our hardware, unless I have been asleep by the end. (which could be true, admittedly...)

I don't remember GrimmGreen doing so either. I only watch people who just review and leave it up to us to shop around.

I have found some of the youtube videos a great place for new vapers to see what vaping is and more importantly, what do we buy? My favorites based on what I have bookmarked or downloaded (if you have Firefo x and the right extensions:closedeyes:) in descending order:
The Vapor Trail Channel (good in-depth reviews + background on wattage/resistance on tanks, etc. + plus he kind of resembles me!)
PBusardo (good in-depth reviews - some times a little annoying with extra long vids, but I always check his reviews after TVTC)
Alan from Totally Wicked (English bloke + good in-depth vids + Convinced me to buy 2 eGo sticks and the VV Mod (uses 18650 batt.) - Related note, the e-juice from TW has been kind of meh for me so far.
SmokenJoey (good in-depth reviews + not too long + like his style and other info about previous models + go ogle price searchs)
DashVapes (not many vids - Canadian guy with expected accent - good in-depth reviews but likes to talk about other stuff like vape conventions he went to and t-shirts he bought)
TiaVapes (good in-depth vids + best products of the year vids (always good for newbies) - has face piercings which are a little distracting)

Sometimes worth watching:
IndoorSmokers (guy gives good in-depth reviews + has impressive collection of vaping devices - annoying dialogue - really likes the Seattle Seahawks, wears SS gear a lot, and then wastes time talking about their upcoming game (my simple rules for YTers doing a review - talk about what you are reviewing and keep the video short and to the point - 8-15 mins. max! Also, please include suggested vendor sources of what you are reviewing and estimated prices - even if you are getting paid by these same vendors.).

The Caveats of relying on YT:
1) Everybody reviewing something is probably getting paid (in some way or another) - Whether this is free samples from selected companies or other ways, they are probably getting paid to promote the product they are reviewing which is okay as all salespeople work on the same model.
2) Everybody on YT is probably a narcissist - It doesn't matter if they review something positively or negatively (usually totally + or totally -), they want you to look at them and subscribe to their channels. Another caveat after watching YT vids or subscribing to a YT channel, watch out for those Flash Cookies (LSOs)! Read the reviews on e-cigarette- forum as well as other non-YT sources before deciding on a purchase. Go to a local B&M store and talk to them as well. Stop relying on social media for your opinions! I do have some favorite YT gun reviewers like Hickok45 that don't seem to be narcissists but rather just want to publish educational videos. So, maybe some YTers want to be teachers and gain satisfaction from helping others, but there is always a slight touch of narcissism with all YTers.
- Ask yourself why somebody is reviewing something on YT for free(!?) to you. Is it 1) or 2)? Add or subtract this to a product's score before purchasing.
3) Try not to sign up for a YT account - Goo gle owns YT, and unless you are careful about deleting their cookies (and even then), your YT vid views will show up as related ads in your G mail + ads in your G oogle searches + many other places. And G oogle never forgets!

PS Thanks for the other members' suggestions. I will check them out.

there is a guy called VapingCrazy. I hear he is ok ;-)
Thanks, you are OK with me as well, Dreams2freedom. I have added you to my YT favorites (Locke says: Check his YT vids out!):
VapingCrazy is another YTer to check out (good in-depth vid on the Kanger Subtank Mini + <= 15 mins. + former military (Thanks for your service) - only a few vids).
BTW - I have a iStick 50w on the way. I am still trying to find a Kanger Subtank Mini in-stock online anywhere! Where did you get yours?
PS I think you are more of a teacher than any kind of salesperson or narcissist (iow - keep posting! I may have to add a 3rd category for YTers:oops:).
