RIP old thread. Anyway, for the guy having problems wrapping on ReadyXWick..
What I do is stick my 18G blunt needle into it. Just kinda "screw" the ReadyX onto it. That'll make it plenty firm. From there, wrap your coils tight, so by the time you gently pull out the needle the coils are perfect *

Many thanks Nate and ripple, I used an Allen key roughly the side of the hole that is working alright... Went over board with 30awg wrapped a massive 2ohm coil lol... Gonna try with 28awg next but same amount of coils .... I kindah wanna try a super uber micro coil and put it inside the wick...

there were a couple of other peeps making the same comment in FB... Mike mentioned that the tolerance for the 510 centerpin of the kayfuns are all over the place and you will more than likely have to adust it to work....
