It would have been catastrophic if the machines had been moved in, but with the storm came a loss in electricity and without electricity, no lights in the basement of the old house... no lights=no machines moved... and then this big weird wind peeled back the edges of the roof... the heavens parted... and it rains inside the building...
i remember hearing the bit about your machines, good to hear that they werent inside at the time and that youre in once peice. Probably a good thing that power was out, in my experience electricity+lots of water=badness, almost always. It sounds like you guys got hit A LOT harder than we did down here near DC. I live on the top floor apt. the only thing we had happen was part of the window blew out and some rain got in. but my family lives up near the eastern shore, and they had their power out almost as long as you did, actually they had just got it turned back on when a nor'easter came through and knocked their power back out agian
but im thankfull that they and everyone made it through the frankenstorm all right.read, to me pets are kids. i get it
