I gave a rainbow colored one to Mrs. States and her initial comments were favorable. I loaned her mine while her new wick soaked. After 30 minutes she began using hers and gave it a thumbs up. She is a sub-ohm'r, direct lung style. I explained to her this is meant to be puffed on like a cigarette.

She was saying good things "but if only it could put out a wee bit more vapor it would be perfect". Then she discovered if she does a prime puff the second is just right for her. Then she picked up her armour pro and "thhhhhwwwwwt... pwwaaaaah" and did her typical cloud. Then she tried the zero again and said "yeah, I could get used to this thing very easily".

I explained that this is a backup device or for sneaking a few puffs when she cannot get away from things. Like me, she vapes instead of smoking but still enjoys a few cigarettes a day. Then I loaned her a spare pod I have loaded with a 60vg of tartness and she was really liking that.

To me, this is great for tart or strong flavored juices, but mild or sweet can leave one hoping for better compared to a full sized device. Like you foggyroad I have found over the past few days as this is my most used device...by far.

I had already begun to migrate from my larger stuff like the YiHi SL Class and Jac Sandstorm to a Kroma and even smaller Rover X 30. So using a flash drive sized pod was seemingly a natural progression.

I took a chance and bought 4 extra pods. Heck, they were like $2 each (twin pack was $3.99) and the module was like $25. For less than a carton of cigarettes I'm set for what seems like the next several weeks.

A chain in my state call Avail.

Edit:
Avail on line doesn't carry it. Their stores don't carry an Innokin EQ but online does.
Hmmmmmm.

I'm probably going to scoop up a second one even though I get a full (regular) day on high. I want a second one charged while the first is charging for those 'double shift' days.

Ok, I'm up at 4am with nuthin better to do so here's a one week summary. Also finally just got around to doing a side by side comparison with my previous preferred gear. Aspire BDC clearos with 1.8 BVC coils with fixed airflow. And original GS air glassomizers 1.5 coils with AFC set to match the Aspires. Both mounted on VV ego type batts.

For those familiar with these tanks here's how the zero compares *for me*

The zero has two airflow inlets. I found it very simple to block one of those air inlets. With this done the airflow is almost identical to the previous tanks and the autofire reacts absolutely perfectly to my light draw. Before reducing the airflow the autofire was all over the place and totally unbearable for my type draw.

The zero vapor production is a step above the old tanks but that's too be expected with the power being higher on it. 9w-10w-12w. And the 1 ohm coil. The auto TC definitely appears to keep the vape cooler than I expected.

The 650 mAh battery life is the same as my 650 mAh egos. Both last me all day. Again I assume the auto TC is responsible for this efficiency with the higher power levels.

Flavor? With the Ccell coil is slightly better not the OMG difference that the marketers claim, of course.

Ok that's all I can think of for comparison to my previous gear.

1 week summary: Pros

My major concern was pod life since I doubt the Ccell with TC wire will ever be effectively rebuilt. I thought if the pod lasts a week I'd be happy. It's done that with no sign of giving up. 7refills, 7 recharges. I read a post that at 13 refills it just started going south. For me that should be roughly $8 mo shipped for pods Pffft!

I did find a small amount of leakage once but believe it was my fault. Otherwise the inside of the battery has remained dry as a bone

Full pod and full charge are a near perfect match. Both last me a full 24 hours.

Size and weight. On a lanyard I hardly even notice I'm carrying a vape.

The auto TC setting, whatever it may be, seems to be just right

Cons:

The press to fill system is just a pointless gimmick to me. It works fine with the provided fill bottle. But my 30ml bottles with skinny almost needle like tips seem to get the tip squeezed shut in the funnel shaped fill Port. Think I've found some workable bottles on FT. I would say the refill bottles should be made available but they'd probably want 5 bucks each for them.

I do have to keep some paper towel handy to tear off strips and twist into pipe cleaner shape to swab inside the mouthpiece for condensation kinda frequently. Not a big deal.

In summary:

This has become my main device. I expect I'll get another soon. I like everything about it enuf to tolerate it very minor flaws.

Well said foggyroad. You covered most of my thoughts regarding uses. But I'll add a few.

I bought mine Monday afternoon of this week. It's Saturday morning now. I was not up at 4 am. lol. I had slept in a hotel all week so my own bed was comfy enough to pull the covers up a bit more snuggly at 4:30 am and snooze another 2 hours.

After a few days using the zero my other devices are idle. Like you foggy, I find the push to fill feature something I would not miss. I wonder if after a few refills if my sweet sauce won't tend to collect around the top area of the fill port and allow a wee bit of seepage to occur. But in theory it seems like a great idea. Perhaps we'll see more of this type of thing. Especially in a top fill application where seep wouldn't potentially cause a contact issue or even a short circuit.

I find the first drag of the day to be awesome. The next several as well. Now maybe it's my taste buds get blunted, but it seems like without allowing the pod to rest a time the flavor gets a bit lacking. The way I got around that was to swap pods with another flavor at intervals of the day.

I tried blocking the larger of the two holes and found I had to 'suck' a lot harder to get a good drag. I also found that a tart juice tends to remain flavorful longer than a sweet juice. I prefer sweet juices. But swapping pods at intervals give my taste buds a new experience so the tart is a treat too.

No burnt taste at all. The tc works great. For my uses the pod lasts longer than a charge. A tank load in a 2ml TPD compliant Zenith lasts me a week. So I get through a day with the zero easily both liquid and charge. My wife will probably be closer to your results foggy.

Now as a quit smoking device I'll say this:
As a dual user if cigarettes are nearby I will smoke. I'm not ready to toss the coffin nails just yet. But when I'm not near the cigarettes I don't miss them at all while using the zero. The one thing I'm still getting used to is just how smooth it is. I'm a wattage person and the Zenith at 13.5 watts puts out more vapor per MTL drag than I inhale. The zero is more like a cigarette. Way more. So after using Zeniths a few months the zero still takes my brain a few drags to adapt to each day. I'm sure others results will vary.

On day two my wife still prefers her sub ohm device. But after using her zero a time each direct lung draw on her favorite big device causes her to cough like crazy. So she ends up going back to her zero.

Now for the time being I have devised a shirt pocket kit by using an empty cigarette pack.
IMG-20181103-103020.jpg

I'll come up with something better.
But for now what is already familiar in my shirt pocket now contains a flash drive sized device and two spare pods instead of coffin nails and a lighter.

Maybe somebody at some point will devise something with a flip top closure to reveal their pod for easy access while having spare pods available. Afterall one is none and two is one, right?

The magnets hold the pod firm with a wee bit of play, yet that allows the pod to be easily removed versus an ultra tight fit. The filling system, although not absolutely, positively leak proof is definitely better at keeping juice inside the tank during drastic temperature changes like inside to outside where many full sized devices tend to seep some into the air chamber. I am very often plagued with unspent juice in the air chamber by my full sized devices. That is narry an issue with my zero thusfar. Nor is seeping when I leave it on the dash board of my pickup in sunlight.

I think of the zero at this point like a near perfect weather day where instead of 72° outside with a 4mph breeze, 73° with a 6mph breeze would be better. So any qualms I may have with the zero would be nit-picky in nature. It does not take much water to float my boat as it were, so I'll just say this little dude gets it done for me.

Oh, and I tend to have issues with rhythm or speed with 5 click devices. What ever time between clicks the zero is set for allows even me to get it on or off first try, everytime. Same with adjusting the output 3 click feature.

I also wanted to note that even my 3ml 70/30 juice provides a satisfying experience. Now how a 70 percent vg will affect lifespan of the cooker will be revealed over time.

I like it! I usually live in an 18 wheel padded cell for weeks at a time. At the time when I was mixing and rebuilding in my truck I was carrying 2 tool boxes of vape gear. Since moving back to ego batts and clearos I've cut that back to 1 tool box. A huge advantage with this system is I believe I'll be able to carry a full months worth of vape in a fanny pack. I'm all for that!

These things are very practical while driving.

And for the holding an object while driving it's also practical. That was where I found the rubber ring at each end to be best. Holding it between the pointer and middle finger while driving without it slipping past my fingers....
I suppose in your case lanyard wrapped around a thumb or something.

It just dawned on me, being in an 18 wheel padded cell on a "foggy road" would not be on my top ten list of having a good time.

Day 3 for Mrs. States:
This morning she discovered how to do a direct lung style on hers. A style very similar to her bigger stuff and she reports zero dry hits, zero misfires and is bellowing out a nice amount of exhale like a teenager smoking a Marlboro red.

No massive 'gotta roll the windows down to see while driving' amount of cloud, but a definite difference. No elevator stealth amount, that's for sure. And she reports that it is super-duper smooth like that using a half-n-half blend of a 25 nic salt and a 3 ml 70/30vg/pg sauce.

I used a pod filled with a 3ml 70/30vg/pg all day yesterday and was pleased. But yesterday I smoked and used a larger device some. So to avoid being jacked up all night on nicotine I kept my nic content low. In mine it did not drop to medium all day. The wife's did around 8 o'clock. Her tank was at about half full. My tank is about 75% after a day of light use.

Now that Mrs. States does a direct lung it will be put to the test for battery life and juice consumption. I see my bottle of sauce has less in it so I suppose she refilled this morning while I slept in again.

I discovered a stupid simple pocket carry method while mending my favorite trousers. Stick it in the box extra pods come in. Duh! Carries similar to a hard pack of coffin nails and keeps the tip clean. I put my spares in a small ziplock and store them in an empty hard pack.

And for those like me that ocd about the light being in view I wrote on a small piece of paper, folded it in half and scotch tape'd it to the bottom. So when it is retrieved a small lump is felt. Makes it easy to know which side is which. What does the paper say, you ask.... "bottom". lol

So today I will make up a 15ml bottle of sauce for the Mrs to use this week while my zero supplied bottle should be plenty for my week.

How many refills so far FR?
Uh, well I've been refilling once daily. Been vaping down to last drop. Yesterday couldn't even get a drop to roll down the side in the pod.

So refill and recharge #9 will occur today. Pod willing. 2ml daily is >.5ml more than I'd have Vaped in my ego setups.

Mrs. States does direct lung with hers and is getting better mileage. We have the same sauce in our pods and hers tastes better o_O....

I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong.

I'm starting to feel sorry for my larger equipment. If it could talk I suppose it would be saying "what about me?" Or, "hellooooh, I'm over here"...

It sounds like the ceramic wick and TC makes these a Maxwell House of a device. "Good to the last drop". :hubba:

Day 10 original pod still going strong 10th refill coming up in a moment.

Just found out I've won an Innokin EQ special Halloween edition Sundown! Looking forward to having another Pod system for comparison. Hopefully will like it also and have no need for buying a second Zero for backup. Yup, I'm that cheap!

Day however many since Moday afternoon...8?

I ran a pod to near empty, put in the sauce Mrs. States is using and yummy, yummy, yummy. Don't what kind of random stuff had been built up, but it was getting pretty bland.

I used the Foggy Road paper towel twisted into a drill bit method and cleaned the chimney last night too. Today medium is producing like high did before that.

I'm using my full sized gear a bit lately. Mainly a Kroma/Zenith kit. Not because the Zero isn't cutting it. But because I had a couple of rainy days at home and sat near my coffee table between chores.

Again, "zero" leaks (pun intended) as in not even a drop. No spit back, no cleanup needed at all.

Well done folks.

So I stopped at the shop where I bought the Zero(s) to take advantage of a sale on blueberry apricot 80/20 juice for a Zenith. Well, they had gotten in some EQ's. I have wanted to try a red one.

The proprietor was busy with some folks ahead of me. But there was a buzz in the air as it is election day and everybody in the place was excited about it. So there was chit chat and everybody was in a good mood.
(No, the "T-word" never came up. Just stuff like are the lines long, or what precinct do you vote in.)

Dude get's done and I say "talk me into an EQ". He said "don't you have a Zero?" I said "yup, because you didn't have EQ's yet". He said "dude, I'll sell you one but you'd probably prefer another Zero".

Intrigued, I asked why about the time a hippy came from the back room puffing on a rainbow Zero. The hippy said the EQ is not temperature controlled. I said "so?"
He retorted how he tried the EQ blah, blah, blah. He said how the giant tube vaping fellow who just left would probably prefer the EQ.

I bought a second Zero. lol. I already know how that works. I'll wait on Foggy Road to give us the skinny on the EQ he won.

In the meantime the blueberry apricot sauce in the Zero is beating the crap out of it in my Zenith in terms of flavor.
Good gracious.

I'm hooked on medium now. I see why they factory set it to start on medium.
SmooooOOOOoooth.
