If this is any help,I have also got a profile mesh rda and I'm using it on a squonk mod, I've done 30ml juice with it up to now and no sign of gunk, cotton is a bit brown but flavour is superb, I'm vaping 70vg/30pg and using the .18 ohm strip and it's set at 47 watts, so with that information you might be able to go with the unity as it's just the rta version, I think I'll get another 30ml through it before I rewick and stick a new strip in

Hello and welcome.

I've used 100% VG on my Gear rta with no issues with dry hits even when chain vaping.

Take care

Hello
I'm new to vaping and discovered I have a PG allergy. I an trying to vape 100% VG but most coils burn too fast. I was told the Zeus RTA 25 ot 26mm by geek vape would be the best option to vape 100%VG.

I have no idea how RTA"s work. How to make your own coils and the rest. Can someone tell me where I can learn that

I have used mostly VG like 90% in tiny MTL atomizers and I never get dry hits.

The only ones I ever got were like vaping something while driving in the dark and accidentally turning it up to 245 watts or something. That, or emptying a tank without realizing it.

IDK. I guess everyone inhales, wicks, and like whatnot differently.

Dry hits are horrible though, I wish I could help but I can't because I never had that problem.

I tend to think "ratio" is pretty rarely a problem and that is because I have had to deal with "inadvisable" ratios like, for a while due to a PG sensitivity. I kind of think they would be LAST on the list of possible problems. IDK.

dang! life can be so cruel sometimes!
Looks like learning to build setups that can handle the 100% VG is your only real option at this point?
Maybe start with buying the pre-made coils and do the cotton yourself first.
Then when you get a bit proficient at that try making your own coils to?
As others have said, check the forum and youtube vids for how toos

If it has not been suggested I might suggest rayon. It's easier all round, and it also withstands higher heat (chain vaping, you might heat u/p) and higher wattages with less issues. Rayon is magic. It also lasts a heck of a lot longer than cotton. I would not be shocked if it wicked more efficiently but I love the stuff.

Rayon Wick - Better Flow, Flavor, Longevity, and Nic Hit!! - Pt.2

Check out this thread and ask questions if you don't believe me. Hmm. It does say "Better flow" right in the title.

Noting to lose other than an 8 bucks box of Sally's Cellucotton which you can buy on Amazon (note get the one that says 100% rayon, there is a confusingly named exactly the same name cotton one.)

But if you have the time the folks on that thread are super expert and love converting people to rayon. I have only used rayon as EVERY single atomizer I wicked with cotton leaked like a sieve. I was probably overstuffing them.

Ask some questions on that thread, though. It's a different material. For example, rayon shrinks and cotton expands so you need different amounts. Everyone has their own technique for what is "enough" or the right amount so you may want to ask and experiment. I do think it might help, though.

Also, it's awesome. Also there are complaints about the start up taste, which are legit. You can avoid this by saturating your coil and wick with eliquid, and hitting the fire button a bit. Like, not lengthy but several 3=5 second burns.. I usually do this as I tuck in my tails but I am an old pro now (hahah sorta.)

This will get rid of the initial taste though it works really well. I also find rayon easier to manipulate when wet.

JMHO as always but good luck!!
