Zmax cut my thumb...

Just letting you know... its just like a papercut but dang if this thing doesn't sting!!

Wow, sorry to hear that. Why part of the Z gave you a papercut? I noted that grooves down the sides had edges that felt a bit sharp but mine have worn down and I don't notice them any more.

When I first got my Z I noticed the edges did seem sharp, but thus far haven't hurt myself. There of course is one vendor that has those grooves actually cut into vent holes, and that does look like it could cut ... and probably get battery out gassing all over your hands if a runaway happened. Just don't see how that is a good idea, but that's me.

i heard the slots were sharp but damn.....i wound lightly emery cloth the slots using some super fine ... not worth getting cut

Gotta be the one with the slots cut into the grooves. I been trying to cut my self on mine to no avail. Yah take an emery board to those things really lightly I might get out my buffer and some compound.

So it has the full cuts into the body. A lot of us do feel those are actually unsafe. Take a metal emery board or similar and file the edges.

I'd contact Madvapes too - what happened is unacceptable, even if the cut is tiny.

It's not a huge deal but I didn't expect it after watching a video on them and the guy (forget his name) said he couldn't get it to cut him. Maybe because I have much smaller hands and no calluses on my thumbs. Just wrote this to let everyone know to be aware. It hasn't happened since but I do tend to keep my fingers away from those slices in the metal now.
