Loving the Evic with the new firmware. It has relegated my Provari Mini to back up status.
Yes, it has some useless bells and whistles like the puff counter. But it also has some very useful features such as stepped power that is just dynamite particularly with genesis atty's. Hell, I'm even liking the auto drag feature. Takes some getting use to, but once it becomes second nature, is pretty cool.

That was going to be my point (and why I ordered one.. should be here tomorrow!!) I don't need a puff counter or syncing. A clock is .. not useless, but kinda ..... but I really want the power profiles. As it is I have a couple of nova+juice combos that are TONS better with a warmup puff or 3 (and singed towards the end of a long pull) so I'm loving that I can tell it to ramp automatically..

So I'm planning to buy a new mod soon and decided to try the latest tech. Searching the market for a variable watt model around $100 or so, these are what I've found available.

Since it's my first purchase of this type I have no reference for deciding. Figured I would ask here since I'm certain to receive some advice from the experienced.

So what do you all recommend? These are the only ones I've seen in the price range I'm looking at....are there another brand or model I should consider?

Just got my Vamo V2 and it seems to burn the juice no matter what i have it set to. seems real hot. I have it on VV and have to set it all the way down to 3.0 v. I went back to my old school Lavatube V1. Works great. Has anyone heard of that with there Vamo's? I did back in Dec. buy a Mid One....hope its good!! Might just get a Provari.

Railrust I just answered you on the other thread. You need to set the Vamo to no 2 mode if it isn't.
No 1 mode is AVG and isn't accurate - it will hit higher than the displayed setting. No 2 mode is RMS and is accurate. Otherss have had the same question and fixed it by setting the Vamo to RMS - No 2, which is where you want it.
Hold down one of the small buttons until you see No1 or No 2.
if you see NO 2 leave it there - it means it has switched it over to RMS.

I like the auto detect on the evic. Useful when building a new coil to check ohms without needing to click buttons..just screw on and it instantly tells ohms of your coil...cool Auto-detect also tracks when your coil loses or gains ohms while vaping or over time. Also, with vw mode it adjusts the voltage automatically to whatever your coil is reading at the time. Nice feature, but I guess other vw devices have a similar feature. Not sure why folks are complaining about extra features, useful or not---if you don't think the additional options are useful, than don't use them, simple as that :)
