Confiscated ecig items fall into 2 categories.

1) without nicotine contents - you can contact canada customs and usually reason with them. they are not supposed to hold this stuff - but they often will. a few phone calls will generally clear the matter up.

2) with nicotine contents - canada customs has a directive from health canada to hold anything with nicotine and deny entry. customs does what they are told in that regard. you can take it to court - but that's about it. unless the package was worth taking to court - it's not going to be much use and it could take up to a year for a judge to hear the case. a judge will go strickly by the law - and not by a health canada directive - so the goods would be released. (this is the basic wording via a lawyer).
