I went to Biloxi Ms, over the weekend. I had not been since I started vaping. I was amazed! Everywhere I looked I saw a fellow vapor. Granted, we are still out numbered by smokers but we're gaining. The little old ladies on the slots vaping ciga likes, old men with electronic cigars, middle aged men, women and young adults with different types of delivery systems. There were no cloud chasers. I talk to several that said they were but didn't find a casino the place to show off their skills and builds. They invited me to join them for coffee and clouds by the pool the next morning. They were a great bunch. I got to blow my first cloud and found out I was a light weight. We all had a good laugh at my expense. Searching for a cloud set up, I will not let it beat me!

Later that night I was looking for a poker table that wasn't full. I was observing a table, a seat came open so I sat down right between two heavy smokers. Whew! I couldn't take it so I picked up my vape and headed to find another table. I stumbled upon a non smoking table the dealer invited me to have a seat and said you can vape here. I asked the others if they would mind and no one did. The lady sitting next to me said that my juice smelled so good it was making her hungry for a caramel sundae. Another said she wished everybody that smoked would start vaping. The dealer informed us that the casino was about to test a no smoking policy in about half of their properties to see how it went over and it would NOT include ecigs. If I was still a smoker that would have set me off, but since I vape it didn't concern me so all is good. I can keep giving them my money:facepalm:.

Moaufan, which casino was that? I frequent the casinos along the coast somewhat frequently. I like the idea of no cigarettes since I can no longer stand the smell. I doubt it will work out, I think they'd lose too much money.
It was Harrah's aka The Grand. They haven't started it yet but from what the dealer said it was coming soon. He also told me of another in Biloxi that was already smoke free but to many adult beverages. I Can't remember which one. We are coming to New Orleans in Sept. You should come join us.

Glad to hear it was a good experience. I will be heading to Biloxi soon and wondered how vaping was viewed. Margaritaville, here I come.

You might want to hurry it is closing. A lot of the dealers that left the Grand to work there are back. Everybody I talked to blame it on location, size, and no motel.

You got that right......
It has already been quite a few years, but here in New Jersey, cigarettes were banned outright everywhere...........EXCEPT for the casinos. They were well aware of the losses that would follow should cigarettes be banned.

I was a smoker then. But isn't it interesting how there are always exceptions to the rules??? Especially when $$$ for the big fish are at stake??? This is a glaring example of what can happen, in light of the coming FDA 'rulings'.

In the end, the casinos are still taking a severe beating these days from all the new gambling competition from surrounding states.

When the 2 casinos opened here they both said OK to vape. Then both said sorry no can't vape. Within a week one said we've heard from our customers and we're going to allow it. So that's the one I go to. They don't have tables at this one just slots. To date I've only seen the occasional cig-a-like or small ego. The only mod I've seen is my own. Which was a Vamo and is now a XPV. I'm still careful about how I vape when there just out of respect for others. I don't do it sitting between people. I'll step back or sit at the end and I exhale the vapor at the floor. No one has said anything to me other than to ask "Is that one of those e-cigs?". I'm not hiding it as I hold the XPV in the open. I just don't want to give some one a reason to complain and the casino a reason to change it's policy.

The first night we were there I sat down and the lady next to me was smoking a stinky. I, pulled out my vape and a little while later I noticed she had put her pack in her purse and pulled out a mig cig. She said she had smoked for 57 years and her children had purchased the kit for her. She really enjoyed it but felt un easy about using it in public. I, pointed out several others that were vaping near us. I, told her I felt the same way at first but quickly got over it. The next day she came by and tapped me on the shoulder and said she had left her real ones in the room. She looked to be in her late 70's and I would imagine the change is a little difficult at that age.
