Kayfun base gets hot. Is it normal?

Hello,

I finally got myself an original kayfun Lite Plus. After watching too many Kayfun rebuild videos setting up micro coil with organic cotton was very easy.
My coil is 2.0 ohm. Filled it with some liquid, no leak issues at all, took a draw and...wow I was amazed by the flavor.

One question. After few draws ,not chain vaping or something like that, just 3-4 slow long draws, the base get hot. I was using nautilus big and mini before and it wasn't getting that hot after a few draws.

Is this normal? Did I do anything wrong?

This is normal, nothing to worry about! The Kayfun is a bigger chunk of metal and will absorb and hold the heat longer than a Nautilus tank.

Curious about a few things before assuming everything is okay.

What gauge wire / wrap count / diameter?

What Device are you powering with and at what setting?

2.0ohm coil tells me it is probably on a Regulated Mod.

Mine doesn't get hot at all. I chain vape at around 10watts on an MVP2 or a SiD. My Protanks will occasionally heat up, but never the Kayfun..

28 gauge, 9 wraps, around 1.8mm diameter.

Using eleaf istick, around 8.5-9.5 watts.

EDIT: Strange but It seems to be cooler now. I wanted to change flavour, dry burned it, changed the cotton wick and it seems to be way less hot than it was before.
