What if the threads were masked off? It would still look good, and the current would still flow through the center of the metal.
I found a couple local shops that do custom work, I'll look into it. If my GG becomes unusable, I'll just have to buy another one.

I cant mask the threads and do the anodising friend, its impossible

we have kicked around the whole anodized thing till it is a dead issue now... waste of time. You would HAVE to machine the threads after you anodized it. It would be so scratched up after that no body would want it. I work with anodized aluminum in the marine industry and know how easy it scratches.

Hello! The new AFS is made specifically for the GGTS. The AFSv2 which is available now is universal.

Also, how about the collector tank alone. Will it be possible to just buy collector tank and then use with AFSv2 which would make it to be AVS or no-no?

The top of the avs appears to replace the top cap of the ggts. So, unless the ggt is identical in construction, size, etc., to the ggts, probably not.

In other words, no.

New GGTS comes out same time as the AVS. AVS will work with existing GGTS or new GGTS. AFSv2 will work with most PVs

There's a revamped ggts in the works. Few minor changes it appears, no biggies. The afs/avs should work just fine on any ggts made.
