hi everyone.
i was given by my local ecig store a 'pipette/bottle' for sucking up the e-juice from its glass bottle and putting it into my tank; without getting it in the centre hole....; only problem is - the pipette they gave me is plastic.
and i don't even know what kindo've plastic..

seeing as i'm using flavours known to melt plastic; i would much rather have a glass pipette... - kind'ove like the ones you get with a 'rescue remedy' bottle e.t.c.

i've found one here;
30ml Moulded Amber Glass Dropper Bottle

http://www.amazon.co.uk/Moulded-Amb...&qid=1378078486&sr=8-1&keywords=glass+dropper

but i don't know if the top of the 'pipette' is made out of plastic e.t.c.. (so if fully 'drawn' it the juice would be touching plastic)
i know i'm being a bit over-concerned on the 'touching plastic' issue.... but; i have ocd, and i need to know that the vapour i'm inhaling is not 'tainted' by any chemicals leached out of contact with any plastic....:(

What does everyone else use to top up their tanks.? my e-juice just comes in a bottle with a cap.
So something long and pipette like is needed to get the juice out of the bottle and into the tank (dodging around the centre hole..)

but i also intend to get some cartomizers.... and i've read you need something sharp so that you can poke it into the poly-fill or whatever is inside cartomizers... - which a pipette, being generally - rounded at the drip end, wouldn't work for...
ideally i need a needle/syringe... but for obvious reasons; pharmacys and the like don't sell those....

arghgh... this is becoming a headache.:?:

cheers

I get mine from fasttech their ridiculously cheap if you don't mind waiting. I mostly use a Innokin uCan now though I keep telling myself I wasn't going to get one its just an overpriced dripper fill bottle. But I was at a local vape meet/shop and I got a chance to use one and decided why not. Plus I already have an overprice shiny mod why not get an overpriced shiny juice bottle.

jingo,

I use bottles with droppers that are just like the ones in your link.

Amber Boston Round Glass Bottle 1 oz w/ Dropper

The part that forms the seal at the top of the bottle is rubber. The rubber squeeze bulb has a lip that resides just under the top of the plastic cap. When you tighten the cap the rubber contacts the glass and forms a seal. The only time that the contents need come into contact with the rubber is when you shake the bottle or invert it.

When shaking the bottle you will inevitably get some juice into the bulb portion as well.

I understand your concern but I don't worry too much about it myself. As an alternative you could get bottles with regular caps and some separate droppers and only use the droppers when filling your tanks. The regular caps have a wax paper type insert in the top.

thanks all.

i've now got five bottles of e-juice and am planning on getting some pipettes.
@SnowDog - that really eased my mind, as the bottles i have don't have the dropper built in... but instead have a 'wax paper seal'.
which i was initially annoyed about,, but i like the idea of having a seperate pipette to use as and when.:toast:

i'm now wandering if theres a 'specialised pipette'.. i need to buy.?
as i know the bottles, and droppers supplied by ecig stores have to meet compliance with hazardous chemical laws; due to nicotine being a poison.
i just don't want to buy a dropper that is not meant to come in contact with chemicals.... - as the e-juice contains; nicotine, ethanol and sometimes citric acid, natural flavourings e.t.c...

In regards to getting the 'right' type of glass... i read on one site that:
"Moulded glass generally contains sodium. The glass pipette in the {our} dropper assemblies, however is made from neutral glass."

^ is that something to give a crap over; sodium won't 'taint' my e-juice will it???{sigh, i know:blush: ...)?

i'm still debating over buying a 'dropper bottle' to transfer my 'capped' ejuice into.. but then theres all the aforementioned concerns over whether the bottle/dropper is 'laboratory grade' e.t.c.....

thanks very much for helping me out on this one..
i'm determined to get started again.
