Back VV mod options

So, I am on a budget, or I would buy an Infinity in a heartbeat...

My Buzz has been gone for almost a week now, having been shipped to the buzzpitol. I think I want a backup VV device, because my roughstack is not satisfying, after using a Buzz.

Was considering either...
Madvapes VV Boxmod with display
or
The Lavatube

Either one would set me back only $70 since I have 18650 batteries I can use in the lavatube, the MV boxmod would require me to buy batteries. and either way, my Roughstack will be getting listed on the classifieds to offset the cost.

Whatever I get would see minimal use, as it would not be my primary device, the Buzz will usually be glued to my hand.

Any opinions, or siggestions?

If it's just going to be for backup duty I'd get the madvapes box mod or a box mod with a switching regulator if you want the extra battery life. Better performance with not having to worry about the limiter kicking in as much. If you have any soldering skills you can also get the madvapes vv in kit form and save some bucks.

Go with a LavaTube... if you can find one a la carte (not in a kit with junk batteries) you should be able to get it for $50 or so.
