Chewy's Battery Test Thread: Sony Vs SamSung , best for Sx350 & Sale!

I have been searching for a battery to match the capability of the Sx350 board. YiHi reccomends the Sony Vtc 3,4, or 5.

I ordered a small sample or both the Sony Vtc5 and the new Samsung Inr18650-25R

pictures are of the test rig, Optim Engineering Computer Battery Analyzer III, and the discharge graph at 12.5 amps

The SamSung topped the Sony with a slightly higher discharge voltage over the duration of the test, even tho its has a slightly lower nameplate Mah rating. Both batteries got warm to the touch but not overly hot. Both Cells put out well above 40watts, making them a good match to the Sx350 chip (at least until they put out the 50watt firmware upgrade)

I have a small supply of these batteries in Hand ready for immediate delivery. Price is $12 for the first battery, $10 each additional, Usps 1st class postage included. (Sorry, only shipping to the lower 48 states at this time)

I also have to offer genuine YiHi Sx350 chips, $70 each if purchased with a Battery, or $75 shipped without battery.

Thank you for this information. I would love to see curves at higher amperages if you ever get bored on a rainy day! Surprised at how difficult it is to find such curves comparing batts like Sony VTC5, Samsung 25R, AW (1600 ma), LG/Efest 35A, etc
