Cleaning Airflow Control Base / Valves

Hi,

Just wondering how to get a good clean of dirt and juice residue buildup on airflow base part for tanks and rda's. I find this part to be the hardest to clean. Not sure if you can run it under water or just try and get into the itty bitty cracks and crannies with a paper towel like I currently do. The tanks I use are mainly Nautlus Minis and Subtanks. The RDA's are freakshow, derringer, tobh, magma, etc. HOW do you get a good clean on the AIRFLOW CONTORL BASE/VALVE​?

I boil mine.
No joke I put them in a pot of water and boil them on the stove for about 10 mins
If I have a rocking build in my RBA's I'll even leave the coil attached.

Another old mechanics trick back in the day to clean carburetors were to boil them in lemon juice
this would get all the little ports, passageways, and jets super clean.

Vinegar may be a less expensive option. That ...... cleans everything. Cheers.

Edit. I must be doing something wrong here, none of my tanks leak into the airflow control area. YET (I probably should've kept my mouth shut)

I put all the bits in the ultrasonic cleaner for 10 minutes. I reckon that gets to the cracks and crevices. I don't know how you could tell what works best but I never felt like holding it under the faucet could get everything cleaned out.

Not everyone has one, and a good unit is not cheap. But these devices will really get my mechanicals and toppers clean. Just use it once a month or two.

It's best to disassemble them as far as you can for best cleaning.
