Hello,

Im a new Member I want to take the chance to introduce myself :)

OK I need some Hardware Advice I first started out with a very cheap e-cig fromthe mall which was overpriced I think it was called the DUO.

After getting rid of it and doing some research online I got my self a VOLTfrom smokeless image which worked well until I got tired of filling the cartosall the time. NOW I vape with a Tornado TANK from totally wicked ive been usingit for about 6 months now its far from perfect ive had juice spills and lowvapor output in my opinion, I even tried a suggestion from someone on theirforum and got some dual coil cartomizers the only pro I see in those is thatthey hold a lot of juice.

im just Looking for something for everyday purposes that just works well forvaping.i know nothing is perfect just want to get some recommendations if thereis better hardware I can purchase for my vaping needs.

The Tornado TANK works well in the amount of juice it can hold and when puffingor pulling I enjoy the tank more than the cartos I guess because the liquidgoes straight to the atomizer. But I think it has low vapor output and it’s amess when the e-liquid gets all over the place.

I guess what im looking for is something that just works and with more vaporand less e-liquid mess.

What do you recommend

Thank you

Welcome to ecf! Great place full of tons of information and fantastic people here. If you are really interested in some good hardware I do not believe you can do any better that the Reo Grand. And for the official disclaimer I am not in any way associated with them, just have and vape and enjoy my Reo Grand.

Hi & Welcome to ECF! I've never used tanks (because of some folks' stories about their leaking issues, mostly) but something I do use and enjoy a lot are the Smoktech XL Single Coil 1.7 Ohm cartomizers. They hold almost twice as much juice as the standard sized Boge cartos (which I'd guess would be around the same as the Volt cartos, not sure) and give a nice, warm hit with lots of vapor. Also they don't go through juice or battery power nearly as fast as the 1.5 Ohm DC cartos.

You don't say what kind of juice (e-liquid) you're using but PG/VG ratio is important in determining the amount of flavor, vapor, etc. you experience. If you want more vapor you *might* want to use a higher percent VG in the mix. Most popular seems to be around 80PG/20VG or 70PG/30VG, but none of this is carved in stone. Also, if you've been using dual coil *or* standard resistance cartos at 3.3 to 3.7 volts you haven't been getting much TH or vapor production from them. I vape at a fixed, regulated 3.7 volts and have found my best results between 1.7 & 2.0, but YVMV.

I haven't personally tried the clearomizers, etc. but may do that soon, some (especially the newer eGo Visions, if I remember correctly) are getting nice reviews. If they make them in my preferred resistance range I'll probably pick one up to give it a try.

Best of luck, & Happy Vaping! :vapor:

I presume your PV has a 510 connection... Totally Wicked is a bit difficult for me to find my way around on in a hurry. Anyway I'd be tempted to try a few of these if they had them in a 2.0 Ohm version: 510 CE2 Clearomizer Ultimate Version - Clear

From what I'm reading on their site, buying a Riva or KGO or whatever wouldn't be much of an upgrade for you, if any. It would in fact be almost exactly what you already have. I'd suggest saving your money there, and just buying a few low resistance, single coil cartos. Then make sure your juice has enough VG to create some vapor & you should be good to go!

its kind of a personal choice as to what you like. tanks with cartos..straight up dripping or a bottom feeder. personally for me i find slotting or punching cartos a hassle and on top of that i obviously didnt do it well. got my first reo woodvil and knew bottom feeders were my filet Mignon. perfect for my lifestyle.

Thanks Warren i regularly just buy my e-liquid from tottallywicked.com i have no idea if its VG or PG LOL im kind of a noob when it comes to Juice. and i Regularly Vape menthol.

:D Well, heck, I'd ask 'em and if they won't tell you I believe I'd regularly just start buying my e-liquid from somebody without so many trade secrets. :) Seriously, I'm pretty sure they'll tell you, if it's not posted on their site. I've never done business with 'em but I've never seen anything bad about them either. The thing about vapor: PG doesn't make much, nic doesn't make much, etc. If you want *vapor*, you gotta have some VG, and the more you have the more vapor you'll have. PG carries the flavor better, & throat hit, etc., but VG brings on the clouds & smooths it all out for you. Personally I mix mine at around 60PG/40VG or sometimes even 50/50, but that's pretty thick & slow going through a carto so I have to be careful not to vape them dry.

I use 50/50 in my Visions with absolutely no wicking problems. Warren, you might want to give Visions a try. I know you said you use LR cartos, but I think you might be surprised by the Visions. I feel they vape a lot warmer than a normal SR, more like LR, because of the top coil. I haven't used LR cartos so I can't say that for sure, though, but the top coil does deliver warmer vapor for me.

Wow!!! You have an Escort that you've put nice tires on and people are telling you that a Lexus wouldn't be an upgrade so just get even fancier tires, use higher octane gas or else buy a Ferrari..... Quite a lot of ugrading to do between a Volt and a Reo.

You are using a mini-cig with a small battery. The volt is the best of a very underperforming class of PVs. You can put this or that or the other thing on it and it'll still be a small battery, limited by physics to lose voltage fast. Limited to higher resistance cartomizers or tanks or clearomizers or whatever.

Get a good 3.7V PV with a battery in the 900-1000mah range and a 510 connector. Then start evaluating cartomizers, clearomizers, tanks and juices. Otherwise, you'll just keep spinning your wheels in search of a magic bullet to make an Escort into a Lexus.

Your situation is not new. Every day, there is the same story repeated on this forum. Very few people are willing to put up with the expense and lame performance of the mini-cigarette type PV s. Ask anyone who has been vaping more than 6 months or so. Almost none of them are still using mini-cigarettes. Why? Because they've spent a fortune trying to do exactly what you are about to do, polish a turd.

You can substantially upgrade your vaping experience for the price of a handful of fancy cartos:
