These products are a safer alternative to smoking and the FDA has spread false and misleading information about their safety. For example, the FDA has compared e-liquid, which consists of polyglycol, vegatable glycerine, flavoring, and nicotine to automotive anti freeze. The mixture is heated and vaporizes at a low temperature into a steam that satisfies smokers without all of the tars, metals, and pesticides that are found in the smoke of government approved cigarettes. The FDA has a quit or die mentality that results in death for smokers. In fact, it would be better if Congress ordered the FDA to adopt a strict hands off policy to the FDA with regards to e-cigarettes and let States and municipalities develop their own strategies since the FDA has so far not acted in good faith, as an honest broker, or a science based agency, on behalf of the millions of smokers in the US. It has let them down and Congress should order them to step back.

Prevent the FDA from placing harsh restrictions on e-cigarettes or e-juice. This agency has intentionally spread misinformation regarding their safety. It has made false claims. This category of products should therefor not be regulated by the FDA.

It has let them down, made mis representations to the public, and Congress should order them off the case since they are at this point not serving public health interest but simply exercising power for powers sake.
Sincerely,
[Your name]

I signed but there is only 18 signatures hopefully everyone will sign:p

And now there are 21. And there is no 25.000 minimum. Every time it gets signed, the emails go out.

They are used to recieving email from this source, and they have people who watch the incommings from change.org. Somebody is probably already aware there is a new e-cig petition.
