Odd throat hit

I went to a local brick and mortar the other day and got a cinnamon juice. The throat hit on it is odd. On the mouth draw you can feel the vapor in your mouth, and the throat hit seems smooth and wet? I am going to order some cinnamon flavorings and was wondering if this was common with cinnamon flavoring or if it might have been something else giving this feeling.
I really like the "chewyness" of the vapor and the really saturated throat hit.
