vivi nova cant stand cold ?

been using a v3 vivi nova for a couples of months now, nothing bad to say about them,
im living in canada here and we do have pretty cold days, ive notice my vivi seem to leak since the winter came upon us. A co-worker from work also had the same problem, being often outside his nova started leaking after just a couples of day. I was wondering if anybody know or experienced a similar problem with theyre nova

I can't imagine why it would be leaking due to the weather. Which part of the tank is the liquid coming out from?

ive got the windowed version, and its leaking from an edge of the window part. My guess is that under cold weather the plastic might become more brittle, and with the coil being hot it might crack the plastic due to the temperature change. a bit like putting an hot pyrex dish under cold water. pretty much the only thing i could think of as my vivis always been reliable in the past.

Maybe just investing in the polycarbonate tube will fix your issues.Or a plain alliminium tube,minus the window.

I would imagine it has to do with the contraction from the cold. Keep it in a pocket close where it will not have the constant temp change. Plastic is plastic and has limitations.

yeah i figured so myself,
i was looking at a phoenix rebuildable atty ( its all stainless). wondering if its worth the money thought
