Hi everyone,
I know there has been a lot of speculation about the Sony VTC line, who they're truly made by, and the recent partnership with xtar. I decided to bite the bullet and ordered a few of the *button-top* xtar VTC 4's from batteryjunction.com. (got the button tops for my 4Nine)
Claimed Specs:
Xtar 30A HIGH DRAIN Battery
Li-ion Rechargeable 3.6V 7.56Wh 18650 Battery 2100mAh
Size: 18.4 +/- 0.2mm diameter by 67.0 +/- 0.5mm height
I just got them today and I charged them up fully and put them through the ringer on several different builds ranging from 0.17Ω to 0.24Ω. These things perform marvelously. They seem to use a thicker heat wrap than Sony did, which is awesome because I ended up getting a knick or slice in every single on of my green VTC's. Another nice thing is all of the specs are listed directly on the battery. Plus, they blackandyellowblackandyellowblackandyellow da da da.
I just wanted to create this thread to ease any tentative minds out there. They have kept up very well with no signs of any strain while I was chain vaping those different builds. While I know thorough testing needs to be done, I think it's safe to assume the transfer of title, partnership, or whatever is legitimate.
You don't have to take my word for it. Just wanted to post this so you know what you are ordering.
Here are some photo's:
I mean for $7.45 a piece, who could complain? Great price for a seemingly great battery.
Thanks for taking the time to read.
