Could it be your thyroid???

Ok girlies I am going off topic here for a few.

As some of you know I have been struggling with some health issues lately. Ever since I quit smoking I just have felt like crap. Low energy, foggy thinking, depression, lack of sleep, weight gain ( after initially losing 30 lbs when I first quit, it's come back and then some ) I always heard about ppl who quit and then felt great, and that has just not happened for me, even when I had quit in the past I didn't feel better.

I have been to the dr, and the dentist and specialists to try to figure out what's going on. I take antidepressants, anti anxiety, and use caffeine like its going out of style. But yet I still feel like doo doo. I have even considerd the fact that maybe I am just a fat lazy cow. No amount of dietary changes or meds have helped me so far so I started doing some research, and this is where it led me.

It seems there is a direct connection between STOPPING smoking and thyroid and adrenal fatigue. Seems there is something in the cig smoke that constantly stimulates the thyroid gland. That is part of the addiction to smoking, it stimulates ur thyroid, which gives u that feel good feeling, which in turn gets u off ur ...., which then helps u to loose weight or not gain it in the first place. I wonder also if this isn't also that "something missing" ppl talk about with vaping?? Maybe ppl don't need WTA as much as they think? Maybe it's whatever gives that feel good feeling u get from smoking? It's possible. It also makes me mad as hell!! So apparently there is another "something" that was in the cigs that I didn't know about. And this something could possibly be the reason I have felt this way for a year!! I read that some ppl actually went BACK to SMOKING so they would feel better???????:confused: Well I won't be going back to smoking, that much I can promise!!

I am posting this here because I am hoping it will help some of my girls here figure out what's going on with them. I know some of u have trouble with sleeping and anxiety, depression and other things. I think it's worth checking into to see if any of the symptoms fit you. I have ordered some supplements, one for adrenal glands and one for thyroid support. I am going to try them and see if they help. From looking at the reviews for both of them ppl saw improvement in sometimes as lil as a week!!! :) I figure it's worth a shot, and I will post whatever happens, good or bad. Hopefully good. If this doesn't help me I honestly don't know what to do next. This is the first thing that really makes sense to me. So right after I ordered I wanted to share.

I developed thyroid issues when I quit smoking/started vaping. I'm pretty sure it was from quitting smoking because I had blood work done about a month before I started vaping.

I don't take supplements but do take thyroid medication. It hasn't helped with the few lbs I gained when I started vaping. If supplements helped you, I'd love to hear about them.
