Finally!

I just received my e cig through the post. I've read the instructions and am charging it at the moment. I am waiting until it's charged full then I'm going to have my first vape!

I'm a bit nervous. What if I don't like it? What if it's not what I thought it would be? I'm not expecting too much from the kit as it was only a cheap one. It seems a little bit fragile but that's ok as I'm pretty careful with my things.

So once it's charged I'll have to make a big decision. Do I quit smoking today? I got 7 refills with the kit and a 10ml bottle I ordered elsewhere. If I quit now will these last me until I can afford to but a new kit and more liquid? I hope so.

I've smoked for 24 years now, about 20 a day. I'm not as fit as I could be and it certainly isn't a cheap habit. This is going to be a huge change in my life. Wish me luck!

I can't help replying because what you have been describing could have been me nearly three months ago and in the weeks since. I bought my first device prior to finding this forum and have tried four different brands of e-cigs..... I think I found something I am happy with but now I am charging up the credit card while on my quest for juices that satisfy me.

Every time I come to this forum I seem to learn something new piece of information that I could have used earlier on. All the more reason to keep reading.

If you slip and have a cigarette (or several), don't beat yourself up over it. Many of us have gone through this. Some people taper off the cigarettes; some quit outright. I "cheated" a few days in but was thoroughly repulsed. You'll figure out a way to do it that's right for you!

By the way, I don't know where you are in the UK, but I used to live in Dunstable, and then in St. Albans for a while - in Beds and Herts, respectively. I get over there 1-3 times per year and I miss it very much!

Anyway, best of luck on your journey.

Thanks Lisa66. I'm doing pretty good so far. Day 3 now and no lapses, I'm really enjoying being smoke free. I used to live a little bit further north from Dunstable in Wellingborough. I live right up in the North East of the UK now though.

Congrats Lee72 - I'm on day 11 myself. Keep reading and keep vaping, don't sweat a slip here and there. I was lucky with my first choice and really love it. I'm about to start looking at juices to refill cartos and I'm sure it will be trial and error!

I have not even wanted an analog but my hubby has had to have a few, and we increased his nic mgs in the cartos we bought and it really made a difference.

Best of luck to you!

Thanks, I'm really enjoying vaping. I have had no desire for a real cigarette since I started. Great to hear you're doing so well too. Keep it up!
