With the tears a Land hath shed
Their graves should ever be green.
~Thomas Bailey Aldrich
These heroes are dead. They died for liberty - they died for us. They are at rest. They sleep in the
land they made free, under the flag they rendered stainless, under the solemn pines, the sad hemlocks, the tearful
willows, and the embracing vines. They sleep beneath the shadows of the clouds, careless alike of sunshine or of
storm, each in the windowless Place of Rest. Earth may run red with other wars - they are at peace. In the midst
of battle, in the roar of conflict, they found the serenity of death. I have one sentiment for soldiers living and
dead: cheers for the living; tears for the dead. ~Robert G. Ingerso
Well, I can never forget the reason for this holiday...Memorial Day.
Oh, I am so thankful for those who have given their lives for my freedoms..and those of my family ..loved ones and friends. Also the children who are so blessed by it. Please remember them and their families and loved ones.

To those who
are fighting to keep it for us now..I thank you and your families as well. Never, ever do I let a day pass that
I don't wake up with the knowledge of where I am and the freedoms and opportunities I have and the responsibility
that goes with that freedom.
My thoughts are with you all past and present..always will be *each and everyday*.
So wonderful to be here... living with all that freedoms ...how lucky we are...
honoring our brave.
..So please keep them in mind...I am ever grateful....ever thankful...ever so proud.
Remember...always...who we have to be thankful to...those who have long past..those there now...all of them...
Keep them in your heart and thoughts...they deserve to be there...they deserve it so much...*
As I approach the gates of heaven;
St. Peter I will tell;
One more soldier reporting sir;
I've served my time in hell. -Mark Anthony Gresswell
The dead soldier's silence sings our national anthem. -Rev. Aaron Kilbourn
So..while you eat..drink...enjoy your freedoms...those freedoms that mean everything in our lives...sometimes they are taken for granted.....remember. 'them'.
To the brave ones that keep it alive...keep us safe....and free..
I am being repetitive here but it all bears repeating...
How thankful I am...my family is...for all of them...today more than another..they are in my heart and thoughts
They are never forgotten.
"Home of the free..because of the brave"....this special place we live...I hope one day all countries will
have our freedoms...
Those who aren't free know how lucky we are...so please, don't ever take it for granted....cherish it....and always,
in any possible way, thank them...
*May they rest among the Angels*
