Tips To Quit Smoking

Congrats on considering the ecig, it has changed my life and the lives of many others.

What helped me finally kick the habit is i made a list of everything i hated about smoking cigs and then the benefits of quitting. Focusing on this every day you crave a cig will get your mind going in the right direction. For many years your brain has been wired to think that cigs are the answer to "solve" many issues (being stressed, nervous, angry, anxious) as well as the habitual side of it (morning smoke, after meals, driving to work, on break). Part of kicking the habit requires you to be conscious of ALL the times your body says "grab a smoke" and then counter it with something else. You can smoke the ecig, eat some candy, go for a jog/walk, work in the garage or on the yard etc.

I've also stated in another forum post that in order for your ecig to be effective it helps to find the reason why you don't stay on the ecig. Does it not have enough throat hit, nicotine, vape output? Is it difficult or inconvenient to charge? Is the maintenance frustrating? I Initially did just that and after a few months my desires changed, i still need the throat hit but the nicotine isn't a big deal anymore, before i wanted something that felt like holding a cig but now I'm into box mods.

If there is anything else i can assist with let me know. I had smoked for 18 years and set a day that i was no longer going to smoke cigs and have been doing great for a little over a year now. I'm also an alcoholic and using the tools i gained in quitting smoking cigs i was able to apply to quitting drinking (3 months sober now).
