Celebrating Veterans

Today is Veterans Day, and I am wearing my medals to honor all those who served. I served in the US Navy from 2002-2005 including on-shore deployment in Iraq with Marine Corps First Marine Expeditionary Force, 1st Marine Division. Both my grandfathers served as well, one in the Army, and the other was a US Navy Construction Battalion "SeaBee" and PT boat pilot. My medals are the National Defense service medal (service during national emergency), Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal (service in hostile action), Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal (overseas service in war on terrorism), and the Global War on Terrorism Service Medal (support service in war on terrorism). (I am wearing mini-medals today.) My most sincere gratitude to all those who have served before me, with me, and since, especially those who did not return home.

Thank you and all veterans for serving... Veterans should be honored more highly imho, and if not for you guys (and gals) we would not be enjoying the freedoms we have now. Again, thank you from the very bottom of my heart.
