The Ultimate DIY Desk

Having had many hobbies, and being a cabinet-maker, I developed a desk for the hobbyist to have a nice place to work, but keep it out of sight when not in use. It really shines in that it keeps everything locked up and out of little prying hands when you aren't using it.

It hangs on the back side of a closet door so that when you have it in the stored position, it is totally out of sight. When you are ready to mix up a little juice, open the closet door, unlock the desk, fold down the desk top and open your "spice rack". It's all so simple, yet so compact and easy to use, everyone should have one. Here are some pictures of said desk.

Amazing!
Your skill and vision makes me a little sad. I can see the wonderful simplicity in your design. I've seen it before! Maybe in an old camper, or something military. I don't know? Maybe its the perfect gray paint that reminds me of a space saving naval design. Either way, it leaves me feeling sad, knowing that great utilitarian cabinet design is becoming rare. The younger generations just don't care about woodworking like the public used too. Thank you for inspiring us.

Hey, you should sell your design on Ebay! I think there is even a way to do it all electronically so you dont have to mail anything! $5.00 a pop, and you could make a little doe, while keeping the dream alive. :)
Thanks for sharing.
