My stupid book still sucks

I'm working on it two hours a day. Even with the best parts (which I'm editing now) it's like pulling my teeth out with no Novocain. I'm SERIOUS. I now understand why Douglas Adams wrote the final Hitchiker's guide the way he did. Dude was rich. He wanted to enjoy himself not write more books!

If good authorship requires loathing one's work with an objective eye to do a final edit, I'm either THERE, or this book is unsalvageable. I so wish I knew which. Dang it my editor said it was salvageable. I almost wish she said it was hopeless.....

I guess I could kill everyone off at the end, LOL.

Hi Anna! Now that I have joined I have found your blog. Going to go back and read it from the start. I didn't realise you were writing a book but I can understand why. That is something that has always drawn me to your replies...I love your writing style!

Me 3!
Your posts around here are always a 'friendly style' writing, which we love.
Give yourself some! :D

Ditto. I haven't poked around your profile much but what is your book about?

It's nice to see that you, too, are a fan of the inimitable Mr. Adams! :thumb: However, I must ask what do you mean by "I now understand why Douglas Adams wrote the final Hitchiker's guide the way he did" and WHICH book are you referencing? Are you talking about So Long and Thanks For All the Fish? (I think(?) he wrote one(?) more after that which I have not read.) Have you endeavored to incorporate a similar wry sardonicism into your writing? If so, I applaud your courage! ;) Best of luck to you and your work.
