Review of the Kanger Protank

Just got my Kanger Protanks from GotVapes. Filled one up with some juice by opening the bottom, making sure to keep it outside the inner tube, and screwing it back together. This is a bottom coil device, and seems to hold about as much as a vivi nova, maybe a little less. The mouthpiece is fixed, but well done and appears to be stainless or at least chromed well. The hit is awesome but more airy than the vivi nova. I like it, less work. I haven't been able to get it to flood or gurgle yet, and it has yet to leak after a few hours. The flavor is so far comparable to the vivi nova. We will see how it holds up, as I am attempting to replace my vivis with something that won't strip the threads or leak. I have no idea how this will perform in the long run, but I report back in a couple weeks.

I think I'm going to order one too soon. About two months ago, I switched over from using carto-tanks (on my eVic) to the mini Vivi Nova. The mini Vivi Nova was a little muted in the flavor category, as compared to the carto-tank set up I was using, but it made just as much vapor. The big trade off was that I couldn't get a tank carto to last more than a day or two. The would either severely flood or clog. It was getting expensive to replace the carto so often. The atomizer heads in the mini seem to last for weeks! That said, very quickly, ended up cracking the tank on the mini after a couple of days. Probably from acidic juice. Subsequently purchase the 3.5 mil regular Vivi Nova, worked as well as the mini, but shortly cracked that tank too. So I ultimately purchased one of those annodized aluminum tanks for the Vivi, and it works well, but it is difficult to tell liquid level, especially when filling it.

So I like the idea of a glass clearomizer, and will pick up a Protank soon.

So it vapes pretty much like the Vivi Novas?

The protank does vape similarly to the Novas, with perhaps a bit more of an airy draw. I prefer the consistency of the protank, and I love the borosilicate tank. If I am using a tank, I would stick with this one. The threads have survived longer than the Novas, and the wicks seem to last longer. The key to not getting things a mess is to not vape them dry or close to dry. The wicks will start to flood the juice well and make a mess of things at that point. They also start to send juice into the stem when run low. I highly recommend these.
