It occurred to me that I have not written my review of Copper Creek despite promising to do so. Here we go.
Copper Creek is a small company with a nicely edited selection of liquids. Several of them have garnered wide acclaim, none more so than House Blend. I ordered 15mls of it along with Voodoo, Voo's Brew, Twisted tobacco, Cake, and Raspberry Danish. Vaped them all on Smoketech XXXL Dual coil cartomizers at voltages ranging from 3.8 to 4.4,
The big one: House Blend is red velvet cake. With something else
It is claimed to be addictive by its various fans and this is indeed true. Plumes of cocoa, cake, and possibly occasionally tobacco waft out in great fluffy fragrant clouds. It just works and deserves all the accolades it receives.
Voodoo is a slightly spicy tobacco blend. One ECF member (RickMC?) claims to taste bourbon in it. I am not a whiskey drinker, so I blew clouds of it into the face of Mr. Scarf-Ace who conceded it might be booze of some sort. It is not bad but the spice prevents it from being an unqualified favourite. Quite unlike...
Voo's Brew-- which is similar but creamier and honey-er. THIS, this is a masterpiece. It lingers on the palate and defies any conclusion besides "whoa, this stuff is awesome". So I'll say no more and order it again and again.
Twisted Tobacco is again in the same vein but with a distinct sweet and floral hit. I don't know if hardcore tobacco fans will go for this but for me this is just bliss.
Raspberry Danish--The Danish flavour can be ordered with many different fruits. CCTC recommends Raspberry and so do the reviewers on the site, so that is what I got. The raspberry is sweet and pure and not candylike. The danish is a bit muted but I can live with that. Lovely when I need a break from richer blends.
Cake is the only one that I did not care for. There is a grassy, vegetal undertone that ruins what would otherwise be a spectacular cake liquid. I tried it in various delivery devices and voltages, no dice. So I'll be keeping it around to see if it mellows. Lots of other CC fans love it, so my opinion is a minority one.
Samples: My first order contained a sample of Cheesecake, which I liked so much I got a big bottle. My second order contained a sample of Apricot, which smells phenomenal. Should probably specify that this is a fresh apricot scent, not dried. Will spend a little more time with the sample to see if it grows on me.
Copper Creek has a very active and friendly forum here on ECF, so stop by if you are interested in their product. I'll definitely order again.
