It's been so long since I posted in my blog that it took 5 minutes to find it. I have been busy with life stuff. My wife who I care for because she's disabled got really sick and had to go to the hospital. They still don't know what was wrong with her.
I started a methadone maintenance program last January for a severe opioid addiction of 14 years.
I was an alcoholic most of my life and was in and out of detox and treatment, but I quit when I met my wife. After a few years I got a job at the same detox that I used to go to when I drank. I even started college and was working full time and college full time.
Well, somewhere along the line I contracted tuberculosis from one of the patients. I did intakes in a cramped room with no ventilation and caught TB. I was down to 112 pounds. I was quarantined for three weeks and the health dept came to my house every day for 6 months and watched me take 12 pills. I was cured of course but I was in pain so the doctor gave me pain pills. Over time I became addicted to them. The first time I did group therapy and I realized I was high on Percocet I finished my shift and never returned.
So here I am today with about 10 months clean and life is great.
That's the last you'll hear from me on that subject and I'll focus on vape related topics from now on.
