So I have my layout done so it is time to cut holes in my lovely virginal box so I can fit the parts.
Combination of drill, knife and mini grinder to achieve this, being as careful as possible not to destroy the box completely.

You an see I've drilled a hole through for the button to stick out and recessed the surface slightly to let the button be more accessible.
Need to work on my mini grinder skills though as the recess is not completely even - but this device is only for me so what the hell.

Yup, unfortunately I needed to cut a hole in the side of the box so a usb cable can be plugged into the charging circuit.
I found a place selling usb covers so if I can't make a cover myself I shouls be fine.

Finally the end where you can see the connector hole and led hole.
The bix rectangular hole is where the box was designed to have a usb connector, I am going to place a master on/off switch here and fill the rest of the hole with black milliput and sand smooth.
This indeed is going to be the next task so the milliput will be solid enough to grind later.
