It could be a pipe dream...

Is -this- a blog? Well, welcome.

If there's one thing that gets under my skin it's artificial lexicon. Folks find something that they like, and they find out there's other like-minded folks who enjoy the same thing and before you know it everything's got a hastily-agreed-upon acronym or abbreviation. I try to avoid that. Having made-up half-words in your vocabulary is a short path to having a message nobody can read.

Also, and as a slight, if I am ever sailing the open seas and I find a message in a bottle and it's written in text-message shorthand I'm not going to throw it back. Or read it. I'm going to store it in a box in the hold. Till I sell the boat.

So I try to avoid fake words, half words, and false pretenses about motivation. So let's get this part out of the way: I smoked cigarettes for the drug. Sure I thought it was cool, but I was clearly ......ed. I consider the e-cigarette as the purest method outside of baselining or powdering for delivery of nicotine.

That thrills the heck outta me. I mean, before with cigarettes I could only smoke as many as my body could handle. Now, with all the additives stripped away from the target chemical I can really experiment with how much my body can tolerate. How much nicotine is needed to deliver the euphoric relaxation? Is there another state of inebriation beyond what was once achievable through a traditional cigarette?

This is the journey I want to take with vape. I want to dial in the sort of enjoyably irresponsible consumption that's made alcohol so popular for so long. Then, I suppose, once I've collected all the relevant data I'll dial it back.

Then again, maybe it'll give me wings and I'll enter myself into the Flugtag. I think I'd chicken out though. Gotta protect that drawing wrist!

Check back for my thoughts on TabletPC Art + vape, and 3DStudio + vape. Coming soon!

I have to agree regarding the shorthand - When I first came to this forum, I found it absolutely incomprehensible, and entire posts made up of atty/carto/PV/etc nearly put me off completely. It took a lot of digging and determination to figure out what some of the posts were even saying.

I agree. If you notice an abbreviation that's underlined, you can place your cursor over it, and the full word(s) will be displayed.
