Kayfun Monster Mini V3 review

I really prefer a single coil to dual coils.

I had been using a Goblin Mini and Silverplay Nano RTAs. One day I was down town dropped my mod and my beloved Goblin Mini almost broke. So I went looking for the cheapest rta I could find and found this little marvel.

$5.43 Kayfun Monster Mini V3 Styled RTA Rebuildable Tank Atomizer (2.5ml) (Monster Mini V3, SS + PMMA (fuzzy)) at m.FastTech.com.

So I bought a few of then with spare Bell caps. At the time of this review they are still an incredible $5.43 for a complete RTA.

As cheap as they are I won't be singing the blues if I break one or two. If memory serves the spare Bell caps were only $1.25.

To be honest I was not expecting much. I always heard "You get what you pay for." So I wrapped a .78 Ohm coil and wicked it then filled the 2.5 ml tank with juice.

This little atty does not have airflow control at all. In other words; if you like lung hits go ahead and take a look. If you prefer mouth to lung hits take a look at the Kayfun Lite, or Taifun GT II.

I have been vaping this little Beastie day in day out for months as I am out and it has grown on me.

Now I will be the first to tell you the flavor is not as good as the Goblin Mini or the Silverplay Nano.

I will say the flavor profile is on par with the Kayfun Nano or Orchid V3 I used to vape but oh the airflow is so nice. Taking a deep lung hit is not a problem at all.

If you are concerned about the FDA deeming regulations or the vapocolypse you could do far worse than stash a few of these in a drawer.

If you really need dual coils consider the Orchid, Goblin Mini, or Silverplay Nano as your backups

I have three of these little beasties, three Silverplay Nano, and expecting 3 Ohmega Nano's

Not counting the drip tip and the 510 this atty is only 30 mm tall and 22 mm in diameter.

Now as small as this atty is; it is not suitable for a stealth vape because with my 70% VG juices it throws very respectable clouds even as low as 8 watts. If you want a stealth Kayfun switch out the Monster base for a Kayfun Lite Plus base.

Now this little Beastie is not all sweetness and light.

There are several things that may be a deal breaker for you.

1. The tank is acrylic so you may not be able to use tank cracker juices like Cinnamon, Citrus, etc.

2. No airflow control

3. Single coil only

4. Holds only 2.5 ml

5. Fill port on the bottom. I was able to screw the Kayfun barrel to the threads in the Bell cap and bottom fill without a tool several times now so that is an option.

6. There are no post holes and your MUST trap the leads under screw heads. This is a problem for me with my messed up left hand

I will give this little Beastie 4 out of 5 stars from my perspective. I removed 1 star for the PITA installing a new coil. Thankfully I only need to do that about every 3 months, and inferior flavor compared to the GMini and Silverplay Nano.

I'm sure many will consider it worthy of fewer stars from the issues listed above but its a decent backup vape, and as cheap as they are you could buy several.
