Fideo

2 tablespoons vegetable oil
1 (8 ounce) package vermicelli pasta or 3 packages of ramen
1/2 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon chopped garlic
1/2 teaspoon chopped onions
14 1/2 ozs stewed tomatoes (with liquid)
chicken bouillon or if using ramen, 1 seasoning packet
1 teaspoon chili powder
seasoning salt

Heat oil in a saucepan over medium-high heat. Add the fideo, chopped garlic, and onions and fry until browned. Pour in half of the can of the liquid from the diced tomatoes and the chicken bouillon, and 1 cup of the water. Season with cumin, seasoning salt and chili powder, and stir to blend. Bring to a boil, and cook until the liquid has almost evaporated. Stir in the remaining chopped tomatoes and water. Cover, and cook over medium heat for about 10 minutes, or until the fideo is tender, and the sauce has thickened.

It's very good, GeargiaMntGirl! I ate a bowl for breakfast and drank water all day - I was NEVER tired and never needed my back up coffee today at work!

I carry my mod in my bra at work =] Under a jacket I have lanyards, but I hate ppl asking what it is... I am a stealth vaper.

OMG! Delicious favorite meal! I can't remember ever going home to have a favorite meal made for me :/ Not to brag, but my Gran had brown gravy with every meal and it was not very good :X Cream gravy is to die for in my opinion If I had to choose a favorite meal, I would say fried chicken [dark meat is my favorite], mashed potatoes, Luby's style macaroni & cheese, corn, broccoli rice casserole... YEAH! GIMME THOSE STARCHES Anyway, your mother is a darling to make your favorite meal for you!!!
