yea, i'd agree... while i do know that yes, sure, mistakes/errors/problems CAN slip through with all technology products, this woudl be a pretty simple "ship it back to provape and get it reprogrammed and return shipped" and for a product like this, of this calibre, and of this PRICE, i really would expect them to handle that 100% and right away... hopefully we'll see what happens....maybe they will issue a fix?
oh, and to V8P, in actual fact, if you take the battery out before it gets low enough to stop the unit from functioning, you will actually PROLONG the life of the battery slightly... if you bottom out lithium
batteries they actually end up needing to be replaced sooner. what REALLY helps with the life span of them though is to NOT charge them fully.. charging them to about 3.97 - 4.05 volts will apparently get you up to DOUBLE the charge cycles out of your battery. all defense/medical/mission critical applications using lithium based
batteries use this method, ensuring the
batteries last as long as possible and don't inadvertantly fail earlier than they expect/can deal with. just a few foods for thought
