I think it's been two weeks now. More or less. I think I've about hit every roadblock I could over the last week, but things are starting to turn around.
I was trying to get into DIY mixing, especially since my flavor orders started coming in. Well...I got vapor's tongue...bad. I couldn't sample any of my flavors! I set aside my lab supplies, as hard as it was, because I was only teasing myself with new flavors I couldn't even taste.
That was only the beginning. My attys started going out one by one before new ones came in. The atty I had my eye on has been out of stock everywhere! In fact, I've learned that some areas of vaping are still new and growing fast, and a lot of my favorite vendors are having trouble keeping up with supply and demand. I've been diligently keeping my eye on the websites...waiting impatiently for those items on my wishlist...
The roadblock that hit hardest was...well...support. I came out of the vapor closet to the boyfriend. He's had his suspicions, but never said anything. Then last Friday I went to poker night with the guys. I promptly got buzzed, lost my money, and spilled the beans about my new hobby. He was, and still is, unsure of what to feel about it. He was a little condescending at first, and it hurt my feelings. He says, "So, this is just an addicition to replace another?"...well...yeah it is actually...hehe, or "that vapor stinks like maple syrup"...ok seriously, how can anything stink like maple syrup? Isn't that a paradox? Or, "how is this any better than smoking?"
Ok, maybe it was the alcoholic cherry coke to go with my cherry flavored nic juice...but I held my PV right up to his face and said, "fine...ask me any question you could possibly have. I have the answer. Just ASK ME." He didn't have much to say after that.
Things are getting better though. The bf really is a great guy, I swear. I think he just worries about me. After I explained the whole weaning myself of off nic thing, and told him it's the only thing that's worked for me...aaaannd that I HAVE been smoke free for 2 weeks, he's let it go. I also resolved not to be so "in your face" about it, and light a candle when I vape that particular mapley RY4.
After destroying one of the attys I had to see what was in there, I now have an A7 rba, wicks and wires coming in the mail (OMG so excited). The attys should last for a few more days at least. My vapor's tongue is subsiding too, and it's a comforting thing knowing I've been drinking so much water. I'm down to about 6mg nic, so the weaning is going great too.
